Subway, one of the largest multinational fast-food restaurant chains in the world, has a fascinating history that dates back to 1965. The company was founded by Fred DeLuca and Peter Buck. Fred, a 17-year-old high school graduate at the time, had a dream of pursuing higher education but lacked the necessary funds. It was then that Peter, a family friend and nuclear physicist, came up with a solution to help Fred achieve his goals.
