Zombies player here 15:45 - Zombies players know when the dogs are coming within 2 rounds of them appearing and if you're good at ammo management, you can reasonably piss your ammo away since they will be refilled once you kill the dogs. Furthermore, at the stage in Kino der Toten, there is a glitch where you can stand on staircase connecting the floor to the stage and the dogs can't attack you. You basically get free ammo without fear of death when the dogs stage comes up so it's common zombie practice to shoot off everything because its a hoot.

So basically I'm wasting my life away working an honest job instead of frauding my way to online millionaire. Who knew it was so simple!

It’s funny how when WingsofRedemption came to Syndicate to try and bribe him into throwing a money match, Syndicate turned him down and acted all high and mighty, and then in the years following he does all sorts of insanely shady shit.

The funniest part about this record being faked was that it was around the time he beat WingsOfRedemption in a 1v1 and IIRC Wings made a passing remark that he thinks Syndicate cheats at Zombies. The fact that Wings was somehow right is not only hilarious AF but even more so because Wings wanted to rig a rematch against Syndicate, which he promptly called out to the public. It just tickles me in more ways than one the idea that Syndicate, while exposing Wings for wanting to rig a re-match event for money, was also cheating in his own WR for the gamemode that made him famous.

I vividly remember in 2011 watching his video and thinking "Hey, shouldn't the quick revive disappear now?" but then thinking nothing off it because I was a naive stupid 15 year old

I literally watched these videos the days after they came out, and to this day had 0 clue they were fake. Makes me a little sad. The videos definitly sparked my interest in zombies, and also they invented "training" so they were so iconic to me.

It’s crazy how huge that round 115 was back in the day. The hype around it was all over my middle school was wild, we all couldn’t believe it. Literally what got me into zombies high rounding in the first place. Now I look at the footage and it’s obvious he cheated, his hoarding is terrible, he opens himself up to unnecessary risk on pretty much every horde up.

One of the dead give aways is just a larger issue in plain sight. I was really into zombies back then and remember watching videos of people going for world records. They almost never used the thundergun as at higher levels because the zombies were simply too strong and the ammo would deplete far too quckly (unless they used it as an emergency knockback, i don't remember). I remember them almost always using the wall bought MP40 because it was the most consistent form of ammunition, despite being weak.

Hey so wasn't expecting to be in the video. The video and tweets that you used were older ones of mine from a few years ago. I've since made a couple more videos and tweets (including as recent as 6 months ago) where I conclude and solidify my suspicions in that he did indeed cheat in this game and that it's pretty much community consensus at this point as more information came out after my original video. Good video. I enjoy when you cover zombies.

for those who think this video is unnecessary or childish for focusing on a cheat from 13 years ago, it was these runs and "achievements" that led to Syndicate being one of the most popular and beloved content creators in the COD community. This is what launched his career as a youtuber, which also inevitably, led to Syndicate's CSGO gambling scandal. Also, some might not remember this, but Syndicate was the top most followed streamer on Twitch back in the early days. I believe he was last in the top 3 or 5 back in 2016 and was in fact the #1 most followed streamer at some point. So yes I would argue putting these cheats into light to make an example out of is worth it. I say this as someone who used to watch his videos back in the day.

ANOTHER THING I NOTICED He kept saying he's avoiding Mule Kick because he doesn't want to lose the Thundergun again, but you can choose not to have the Thundergun in your Mule Kick slot. When you buy Mule Kick, all you have to do is purchase any weapon from anywhere and you''ll have your third weapon, and when the box gives you the Thundergun you simply switch it with the other weapons that's not in your Mule Kick slot. (So hypothetically if you get the crossbow as your third weapon, you don't switch the Thundergun with the Crossbow, you switch it with any of the other 2 weapons you have). The fact that he says the Thundergun was in his Mule Kick slot, it means he either randomly decided to put the Thundergun in his 3rd place weapon which is such a noob mistake, OR when he got Mule Kick the box gave him the Thundergun straight away, which seems to be a very unlikely thign to happen especially if the Thundergun is potentially worth 300,000 points of hitting the box according to Syndicate himself.

The thing I find funniest about this (as a COD Zombies fan) is that Kino is one of the easiest maps to get high rounds on, barring WaW Shi No Numa. Like he literally could've spent the same amount of effort actually getting to round 116 on Kino as it took for him to fake his run. He didn't have to do the oral. Also, any Zombies player worth their salt knows not to open the stage door.

This feels like Karl is putting his main quest (Completionist) on hold to do a side quest (Syndicate) real quick

Great video! One minor inaccuracy is that, yes, while ammo for the thundergun is scarce and can only be replenished by a max ammo drop, every 5 rounds a "dog round" will occur which guarantees a 100% chance of getting a max ammo when you kill the last hellhound. You might start seeing players wasting ammo on this round because they know they'll get a max ammo afterwards which resupplies all your guns. Also its sometimes valid to waste a thundergun shot on 1 zombie if you suspect that it was going to block you and get you killed. Otherwise every point in this video is 100% legit and more than enough reasons to suspect foul play.

Getting to 115 without relying on traps is the dead giveaway. He would have to cycle through 30 thunder guns a round.

People think Syndicate isn't capable of lying? Didn't he essentially scam a bunch of kids by lying about how he "found this awesome CSGO gambling website", when in reality he was one of the owners? He was one of the reasons RU-vid and social media as a whole started cracking down on disclaiming sponsorship in videos. The platform as a whole was forced to tighten its policies due in large part to his dishonesty, and some people argue he's honest? Man, some people just refuse to see reality, even when it's slapping them in the face.

Guy has been involved in so much controversy and scummy shit but his orbiters continue to double wrist him and buy his shitty merchandise, it's like a cult.

Its pretty well known in the zombies community that Syndicate has cheated. But the casual audience doesn't know yet so this video is REALLY informative for them.

Just want to add that the clip you showed of him killing a couple dogs at a time with the thundergun isn't abnormal at all. Every (5 I believe? Been a while) rounds on Kino you get a wave of dogs. The final dog of the round ALWAYS drops a max ammo every single time. It's not weird or abnormal at all to spam away with your best weapon on these rounds or the round leading up to it.

Damn, I always suspected this given I tried similar things from back in the day, knowing how hard it was and how long it takes per run. I remember grinding with 3 friends to round 66 on Kino. I think it took 8 hours or more, no way a solo player who has to make regular RU-vid uploads would have time to do this. The zombies after about round 35 just take so long to put down even with Pack-a-punch weapons. We used the strat that @AwesomeSauceFilms (who would later become @bajancanadian and @TheNoochM) used where you have two people on the stage and keep the far door locked and have one person in the isle with another running up to the podium and circling back and eventually using the thunder-gun to clear large amounts of zombies out.

Not defending Syndicate, but I thought it worth pointing out that the clip at 15:46 actually isn't an example of wasting Thundergun ammo. The last enemy in a dog round always drops a Max Ammo power up, so using the Thundergun to kill it is perfectly fine.

I watched this guy on black ops, crazy to think he cheated. He was THE zombies guy. You think Zombies, you thought of syndicate.

It's crazy how many of these high profile content creators gained popularity with fake stuff. And then it's even crazier how people who probably grew up watching them will defend them. Most of the time I don't even know who these people are until Karl does a video about them.

Syndicate was one of the reasons I got into zombies back in the day. I eventually stopped watching him around the time of Black Ops 3 and kind of forgot about him. I'd occasionally hear something about one of his controversies, read it, think "Oh what a shame" and move on with life. I didn't exactly realise just how MANY there were. What baffled me the most watching this is the basic things like being able to see which character you're playing as, or the other easily noticeable inconsistencies. I thought he was smarter than that, even 10 years ago. And anyone watching who's even half as into zombies as he was should've noticed that too. I stopped watching him too long ago to feel crushed or betrayed by this, I'm just surprised he got away with it, and still denies it to this day when he knows full well how obvious it is. He's not manipulative like Jirard, just obscenely lucky.

As a long time zombies player and having gotten round 70+ on Town on BO2, I don't mind the splicing argument as that is certainly the case but this is what my experience tells me from modding/commands: 1. I remember Tom being specifically not a PC player back during this time, I think he played on Playstation/Xbox primarily because they got DLC first, only later after I think the Moon DLC he started to transition to PC gaming, I don't know if it's possible to mod or command on those devices. 2. Strats do change especially if you're a bit pissed about your previous run, me myself have had runs where I would nicely upgrade from the wall but I'd sometimes just open up stuff first before buying to maybe have a close by spawned mystery box giving you an early strong weapon instead of buying one from the wall. Especially because the first 3-4 rounds are very possible with just the starter weapon. Also as highlight in multiple places in the video there are like 3 places for the mystery box to spawn early on: top of spawn stairs, in the corridor between seats, at the back of the stage. 3. I feel like the "misspeaking" of the second down is a bigger highlight for the splicing than modding, it would make more sense if he melded his previous and new run together in his mind to say that this actually is his second down in the whole journey making this irrefutable splicing confirmation. I'm 100% in favour of calling him out on his splicing, but modding/commands feels as if it has a worse foundation to stand on.

Great video. One thing to note: in the second example of him not saving ammo he uses the thundergun to kill the final dog. This is normal behavior because the final dog always drops a max ammo.

Syndicate was someone I always watched when I was kid but I grew up and stopped watching him but when I went back to look up his old stuff, its crazy to realize how many controversies he has been in and yet never has canceled for any of it.

This makes me so sad. I remember being 12 years old in the back of my mom's car on a long road trip watching his all pack-a-punch run on her iPad. I never knew he faked his stuff :(

I remember as a kid watching another zombie RU-vid channel ASF (awesome sauce films) they had a bet we're they would run a zombies match solo and see who could get the highest round. They would both have to upload the footage but only ASF did after winning (they both didn't get far around round 10) it became a running joke on their channel to bring it up. I was always sceptical of him after that.

Like 12 years ago he did a zombies challenge on Ascension against TheNoochM and Bajan Canadian. This was really exciting because I was a fan of them all at the time, and there was quite a bit of pride involved because Syndicate claimed to be the best iirc. Well, he lost and proceeded to never upload his perspective and I think that said a lot about his character.

Syndicate is a weird case because I remember him refusing to fake a loss with a bog rematch with wingsofredemption, where wings would have paid him to lose. Maybe it was to try and clear his credibility in some way or maybe he does all this because of narcissism and not the money.

I remember seeing this back then and being amazed. Syndicate will do anything to cheat his way through life.

As a kid i tried over and over to do it.. at round 45-50 the guns do jack shit, and they barely get you any points, also the thundergun glitches sometimes and misses zombies directly in front of you, and on 50 you cant get through a wave with the thundergun alone the ammo is too low

I was there WHILE THIS STUFF WAS BEING UPLOADED. I was in the community. His game DID crash, he mentioned it, he cleared it all up at the time. The info is in VERY old and LONG videos so unless you were then and there, it's really hard to give Syndicate sh*t because he truly was a zombies OG and you can't deny what he did. And besides, after round 40, nothing chanages, things just become longer, and these games are notorious for crashing.

I have to admit. This is a bitter pill to swallow. It absolutely rips me up even after I haven't watched a video of his in years. He inspired me to do my own round 100 on ascension when the psn went down. He was my favorite video maker of all time and I watched every single episode of his minecraft episodes. I never once had a single thought he might be a cheater. Of all the ones you have exposed, being on the other side of the fence is a strange feeling.

The 27k kills at 115 snippet. Was a key point that wasn’t pointed out, but you wouldn’t know unless you actually reach that round. I’ve never reached 115. Yet I have reached 76, and closed out after playing for a painful 9+ hours straight. An had 71k kills at the end. So seeing that small amount of kills let’s me know he jumped to later rounds. Which is (cheating) none the less.

I’m glad that with the help of Cruppz, Flurh etc. that it is getting more attention. Within the Zombies community it was already well-known. I’m very happy that Karl really gets it to a way bigger audience. Because the Zombies High Round Community is rather small. Love to see it!

Even if you splice without giving yourself extra lives, this is not ok. Kino der toten has Reset times around 75-80hrs into the run so there is a set time limit you have to finish a game. Good video, cool to see more attention brought to it

Used to watch him with my brother in the early days of Minecraft. Loved his series, he was entertaining af to watch and he always came across as having a good heart with a real genuine lust for life - very admirable. I think the whole "different character" thing is a clear and cut way to know that the games weren't the same - but I think bringing the timings of when the videos were posted into it is kinda wacky, because (obviously) videos are not posted at the exact same time as they are recorded. Also the whole "didn't buy wall weapons so this points to it being fake" is a bad take, I've played hundreds of games of different maps where I haven't bought wall weapons, and have just used the box - and I've also played hundreds of games where I've bought wall weapons (even the wacky ones like the Olympia). Honestly I think specifically for the Olympia being pre-bought in his original game doesn't point to it being a "part of the strategy" but rather just a random buy, because that gun it just bad and not used for any run...

The furthest I've ever gotten in bo1 zombies was round 63 and that took many hours. The zombies become bullet sponges and the only way to kill most of these zombies instantly is with thunder gun, nuke, instakill, or environmental traps. Some times I'd use a pack-a-punch sniper with my pack-a-punch thundergun and mow down most of the zombies. The scariest thing about killing the train of zombies is having to do it again consistently and trying not get stuck on any geometry as each zombie would spawn from different areas around you. Ah, good times... definitely brings back nostalgia of me and my friend getting to rounds 60+. It was always our dream to reach round 100 but we knew It would take hours to do.
