I started making custom hardwood wrist rests for mechanical keyboards that match various keyboard models last year.
While trying to find my way, QwertyKeys was kind enough to allow me to run a pre-sale in their Discord server to make wrist rests for their latest release, the QK100. In this video, I cover my small batch production process from rough lumber to the final packing and shipping process.
I would like to mention that this video is not sponsored, but if you would like to visit www.qwertykeys.com and check out any of their currently available keyboards, please feel free to do so. I appreciate them, and briefly mentioning them here is the least I can do. Personally, I have my eye on a Neo70.
Whether you are watching for entertainment, education, because you like custom keyboards, or for any other reason, I want to thank you. You are why I have the opportunities I do here, and I appreciate all your support.
Thank you Kpong for sharing your video clips with me. I appreciate your help with this video more than I can say.
While my most popular request is for black walnut wrist rests to match the Qwertykeys QK100 keyboard, I have also created wooden wrist rests to match other models such as the QK80, QK75, Melatrix Zoom75, Mode Envoy, Mode Sonnet, Keychron k10, V1, etc.
Thanks for watching!

The fact you take the time to wrap the wrist rests at the end and like a present and take the time to provide a pleasant unboxing experience says volumes.

First impressions are important and it's a relatively easy way to show how much I care. Thank you!! 🫂

Hello, can you share how to set up the tray to put the wrist rest in the planer?

I probably won't make a dedicated video, but I started searching for "low angle planing jigs" online and eventually landed on what I use now. The outer and middle "rails" are used to create friction/hold the work, and below the entire middle rail is a small riser to determine the angle that will be established on the wrist rests.
