him and the rest of the former Villanova team have had me secretly rooting for them all year long. u just can’t root against these guys, and Brunson is such a class act & a killer such an great leader
As a Mavs fan, watched all of this & @17:19 gave me chills. Love this guy, and I hate the Mavs dropped the ball. However I'm not sure he'd ever be given the reigns on the Mavs with Luka there. so glad he did what's best for him. Just hate we couldn't get something in return. Think the Knicks might be my next fav team.
I’m from Philly and even though he helped knock the sixers out of the playoffs I can’t help but be a fan of him 🔥 I’m 6'0 and seeing someone around my height dominate games always inspires me 👀
As a pistons fan, I dont have much to root for now a days. Lol. So im glad to see another team that is historically bad rise to greatness. Really hope to see the knicks continue to succeed and hopefully take it all home
Rick Brunson played on two different Knicks teams. The 99 finals team and the 2000 ECF team ;as kNicks fan when I first heard of Jalen Brunson name I knew he was Rick Brunson's son.. kid is hell of a player.
Lifelong Magic fan, but Brunson is by FAR my favourite player in the league. He plays with so much heart and integrity, he should definitely be the face of the league
Hearing him say he wanted to stay in Dallas hurts. But overall i think it worked out the best for him. Seeing him fluorish is NY is amazing and easily my favorite team in the east.
The knicks haven't had a better player since I started following the NBA like 20 years ago. They're lucky to have him. Hopefully they don't fuck up the roster for once
I remember first hearing his name in the Fiba 2015 U19 he was so dominant in that tourney considering they had jayson tatum. I still dont know why he slid all the way down to the 2nd round in his class
Sorry it's just an opinion, but i think if brunson still in the mavs brunson will not get this usage and can't be anything, cause luka have the ball all the time. It's blessing in disguise i guess
Lmao Jalen wouldn’t have improved on Dallas like he is doing in New York, and they sent him away, because he played mediocre at best! It’s not Dallas fault he only decides now to play like the star everyone knew he would be lol, I mean look at his stats in Dallas, 11.5 points, 3.7 assist, and 3 rebounds, and he demanded more😭it’s sad when people don’t know the full story behind Dallas decision to let him go
He did not show he was worth this money until the playoffs which Knicks fans conveniently forget was after the deadline to resign him. And it was all over once his dad joined the coaching staff. Be realistic. Oh wait, don’t expect a dumbass New Yorker to be realistic I forgot my bad.
if we redraft the 2019 nba rookie draft. he should be in top 5 of that draft. this is my redraft of 2018 nba rookie draft. 1. luka doncic 2. Shai Gilgeous Alexander 3.Trae Young 4.Jaren Jackson Jr. 5.Jalen Brunson
Bruised and battered they fought til the end and pushed the best offense in the league to 7 games. Brunson is built for New York. Now Knicks got injured to bad everyone said it's an easy win for the Pacers how come no one says that to the Celtics who faced injured franchises? If new york was healthy they were legit title contenders.
a fully healthy Knicks team as presently constructed can win the East next year. They would have been a much tougher test to the Celtics than the Pacers were
The Knicks haven't been like this for years. NYC is a proud city, they want the Knicks to be good. Brunson has arguably been the best player this century for them
Context matters the heat made the finals and the pacers only won due to half the roster sustaining injuries not only has Brunson made the knicks relevant he carried an okay team dealing w half the roster being injured to 2nd in the East no Randle or og for half the season and still winning and throughout the playoffs missing Robinson and dmitch
And how many playoff series have we won before Brunson joined? We haven’t been serious contenders since 99 and were last competitive with Melo and a bunch of 40yos. He took a healthy Pacers team to 7 while missing every starter except Donte. Its only up from here
I don't think I could raise my kid to be an athlete. You have to be so mean to them. I guess it's for the best in the long term, but damn "Whatchu crying for? Crying is for *winners*! Get back on the court"
The dude just needs another scorer and for Thibs to accept help from some type of offensive assistant. Or you have to get rid of Thibs and keep the same scrappiness they have currently. I have faith if Thibs isn't an idiot, and they get a couple of pieces....this dude can bring a ring to NY.
He does have one his name is Julius Randle. When we had Julius Randle/OG and Brunson, Knicks were 12-2. And they were molly whopping teams by 10-30+ points.
@@emersonssbb Julius actually could be a good piece but idk if he got it come playoff time. Him and Quickley did huge dips in the playoffs. That is the biggest thing with Randle, if he was mentally stronger it would be a different story. Granted.....his percentages could be a symptom of Thibs terrible offensive coaching.
@@emersonssbb Their numbers generally dipped in the playoffs from points, fg percentage, and other aspects of their game. That is documented, and you can even see that if you look it up. It is probably mental, and for Julius specifically, he depends a lot on bully ball, which is harder to do when defenses collapse. So most teams turn him into more of a shooter, and that isn't him. The injuries aren't the biggest issue.
@@Blackjack09721 I literally just told you Julius Randle was injured. Did you not see him get a surgery in the off season of 2023?Stats dont count when a guy is injured..
