In one mission, Lester actually tells you they use drones arround the whole map to see if you do something bad, you had to shoot these drones for parts for a casino stealth robbery mission.

Fun fact: in the lore of GTA the reason they can catch you doing any crime is because they have spy drones that are so fast that you cannot see them normally.

Funnily enough, when inspecting the files, animals out in the wild are counted as NPCs and technically call the police on you when they see you commit a crime. Edit: OK so this isn't a thing anymore, but was a bug in the game a while back.

Honestly I like the idea of "dead zones" being implemented in GTA. I'd probably be hard to do but imagine a radius effect where the closer to buildings & other populated areas you are the more likely its gonna be reported. They loosely do something like this during scripted moments in the game but I'd be cooler if it was an actual mechanic

If your gun is silenced or you melee you can usually get away with it even if it’s in broad daylight

I love the music when cops are coming or some missions and were they just on patrol or camping for kills

Its so annoying when you hide in an alleyway or halfway across the map and the cops just happen to take the same exact rode or go down the same exact alleyway

Fun fact: the reason for this is actually because the LSPD uses drones to keep an eye on the entire island. That’s why they always know if you committed a crime.

This reminds me of that one mission where you go to this random island with a knockoff version of the killer from texas chainsaw massacre or Jason vorhees and I got a 4 star for killing (a literal serial killer) him and there were helicopters and police boats everywhere and I barely survived

Once when i was playing, i was hiding from the police and the stars were flashing so they dont know where im at, but the game is unfair anyways, the cops went in the direction where i was at even though the stars were flashing.

The cops know everything You could kill a man in the middle of nowhere and still get instantly hit by 52 squad cars 4 helicopters and a tank
