It's a shame Time Lord is often injured because on D, he helps the C's a ton when he's healthy. The Heat and Butler/Bam really struggled in this game to assert themselves at the rim and in the paint with Rob out there.

TIMELORD... People have no idea how blessed the league is that he's been injured. The fact that he gets to play free safety behind already solid Al horford nobody stands a chance in the paint

I cringed every single time they tried to take a mid-range shot and the general passiveness and unwillingness to attack the rim

Like you said in a previous video Coach. You hate their offense. No skip passes!! The defense can sit comfortably and play free safety and not worry about closing out hard.

This series is so bizarre. Usually in a back and forth round like this the scores are close, but they've just been blowing each other out. Their inconsistencies are gonna be easy for Golden State to exploit.

As a heat fan, On the one hand I’m pretty proud of how far the team has made it in the post-season and how well we played in the regular season given our roster. I mean we play a handful of G-league guys major minutes and we’re still a good team. At the same time, I trust Spo to do as good a job with the personnel as anyone, and it seems like we just don’t have the personnel necessary to to run a really reliable offense. Could we have a better offense with the personnel we have? Maybe, but I’m not sure how much better any coach could have done than Spo. I love Butler and what he’s done for the team, but he can’t be our best scorer over the course of a whole post-season. He just has no range on his shot at all and if he’s not getting calls then his offense falls apart. Watching him try and generate a shot for himself is painful. Lowry has been such a disappointment. I so badly wish we had kept Dragic instead. I mean at least Dragic could run a pick and roll and hit a floater. At least he could hit 3s at an average clip. Bam is a great player and I love him in the team, he’s just never gonna be a score first, venerate offense for himself kind of player. And that’s okay. The problem is that’s the kind of guy we need right now. If we don’t get an all-NBA level scorer in the next year or so then it’s a wrap for this iteration of the team.

Gotta remember though. One of the easiest things to fix from game to game is getting players to space properly on the court

Heat are basically trying to run an inverse Triangle - all of the bad aspects of the Triangle without any of the good aspects. They don't have superstars who can go 1v1, and they are loading up the weak side with a trio of players. Reverse it and start moving the ball quicker, maybe aiming for a 7 seconds or less type of early offensive attack might be better.

And it happened again. This time 23-2 run. The Heat shooters look like they completely lost their rhythm/confidence in their jump shots. I think they need to add a wrinkle where they quick post Bam and then have him pass out to shooters and they just need to live with shooting in rhythm instead of trying to dribble in on the close outs

I believe they can solve "that" problem before the series ends if they listen to you, coach. 🙂

It happens because you have injured and old point guard, old corner shooter and one undrafted player in your starting line up. Their offense is quick awful. You can’t rely Jimmy and BAM to generate offense for the whole game/series especially against the best defensive team in the playoff

I am shocked at 2 things. One is why Bam has been so freakin passive even after game 3 proved that if he gets aggressive and drives to the rim he can score big on the C's. Secondly, why the heck do the heat keep jacking 3's after the strategy is clearly not working for them???? If I was Spoelstra I would say no more 3's unless you are wide open and I mean WIDE. I would play Oladipo big minutes and try to run pick and roll with him and Bam trying to get something in the paint. I would especially try this when Timelord is on the bench, which should be often seeing as though his knee is def bothering him. With Timelord in the game I would look to run the pick and roll on Horfy attempting to run it on the opposite side of where Timelord is because we all know Bam is Timelord's adopted son.

That's the problem with the Heat. A team with an average offensive threat despite of having multiple players with an elite defense. Jimmy is not a real scorer and he can't really shoot he does most of his points in the paint. With Horford and Rob Williams patroling the paint its gonna be difficult for Adebayo and Butler to score. Unless the Heats shooters steps up.

Weird series. Honestly if the Celtics are focused every game this series is probably already over, it seems like the only way the Heat score is by forcing turnovers and run-outs. Their half-court offense is just ROUGH. Celtics are definitely more talented and the better team overall, but in my head I could not tell you who is going to win this series since the Heat just will themselves sometimes to victory. And this series certainly seems like who can stay healthy the longest. I know the argument for getting more rest is, "just finish the series quicker" but when both teams are just hobbled like these 2, you get such bad basketball and that's not good for the league. Build in a day or 2 of rest for the conference finals, this every other day is terrible for the product!
