Well, Lakers did outplayed Bucks at the moments. But refs also helped them by calling fouls on Bucks and not calling on Lakers. 32 vs 17 FT attempts. Bucks defense got worse in the end, because they were afraid to make slightest contact with the Lakers players. It is just disgusting.
@TornaitSuperBird
@TornaitSuperBird 2 месяца назад
@@raimundasmYeah, but the Lakers tend to drive more. The Bucks settled for midranges and jumpers all game. The Lakers tend to push offenses out beyond the arc, while favoring the drive on offense themselves. That's what tends to generate these foul disparities. Look how much Giannis was able to close out on Reaves’ game winning field goal attempt at the end of regulation. If he was able to cover that much ground, I don’t think Austin would’ve been able to get off a closer shot. He’s the Greek freak for a reason, his arms are long as hell lol.
@gandydancer9710
@gandydancer9710 2 месяца назад
If you're talking about 12:18 stopping at the elbow was an easy shot for Reaves and GA was going to be nowhere near it. How long do you think it takes for Reaves to get off his shot?
@Fitnesscharged23
@Fitnesscharged23 2 месяца назад
@@gandydancer9710from the time the ball was inbounded to Austin getting off his shot, Giannis was able to make it from inside the paint all the way to outside the 3 point line to contest his shot. You’re telling me that if Austin were to have stopped at the elbow, (which is closer to where Giannis is already located) he wouldn’t be able to contest. The elbow is arguably a longer pass to make from where the ball is being inbounded, which would’ve given Giannis even more time to close out.
@gandydancer9710
@gandydancer9710 2 месяца назад
@@Fitnesscharged23 Yes, I'm telling you that if Reaves had just stopped to receive the ball, turned, and shot GA couldn't have gotten close to him. GA's running wasn't anyway being triggered by the pass being thrown, it was triggered by Reaves breaking to get open, so, no, a deeper pass would NOT have given GA more time to close out. Exactly the opposite is true. The slowest part of the closeout was the initial bit, so Reaves wasn't increasing his separation by prolonging the chase. Getting the pass around the guy defending the out of bounds is an issue, but Reaves didn't have to run as far as he did outside the 3-point line to get open for the pass. And it's up to the passer to time his pass so that Reaves doesn't have to wait for its arrival after he's ready for it. That's why you practice to get the ball thrown before he reaches where he will catch it. Nobody is defining "the elbow" as requiring Reaves to have his toes in the paint. Getting the pass inside the 3-point line as far as Reaves ended up outside it would still be "at the elbow" so far as I am concerned and, as Thinking Basketball says, that is where he should have shot it.
@Fitnesscharged23
@Fitnesscharged23 2 месяца назад
@@gandydancer9710 It just doesn’t make any sense that you continue to say Giannis wouldn’t be any where close to Austin when if you pause the video at 12:13 you can see Giannis is only one foot below the free throw line. He’s 6’11. You can see Giannis has his eyes on reaves and the inbounder. If Austin were to have caught the ball at the 12:13 mark, Giannis would’ve seen the ball being inbounded and started heading towards Austin to close out. And as you can clearly see when you pause the video at 12:13, Giannis would not have to travel far to contest Austin’s shot. This is not a regular defender we are talking about. This is the former defensive player of the year whose nick name is literally Greek freak lmao.
@gandydancer9710
@gandydancer9710 2 месяца назад
@@Fitnesscharged23 As I already said, GA doesn't start moving because the ball is being inbounded, he moves because Reaves is getting open. And at 12:13 he is facing away from Reaves and not in motion at all. If Reaves had gotten the ball where I say he should have demanded getting it and where he should have gotten it his shot would not have been effectively contested. GA's DPOY and nickname don't change the physics of the situation -- he wouldn't have gotten there in time. Reaves running further out just gave GA more time at full speed to get to him... and he still didn't block the shot. Reread what I wrote. You are not taking it in.

I like AR too, coming into his own really nicely, not afraid of the big shot, makes good decisions consistently. But AD won the game for the lakers hitting clutch 3s out of nowhere when his team needed them, and his defense shutting down two of the top 10 players in the league when it mattered, one of them being Dame-Time, 4th quarter lillard. "Vintage AD: Both injured and dominant" sums it up nicely, imo. AD is already cemented as one of the best players in the league, and STILL finds ways to blow us away when it matters.

@AndrewRobyEngineer 2 месяца назад
No one is perfect. So, isn't a contradiction to what you wrote. But, possibly his desire to be a star has him making bad plays. For example, that was a low IQ play Thinking Basketball called out at the end of regulation. Reaves had plenty of space to terminate his cut off the AD screen, set his feet, and pull up from inside of the arc or just behind the line. But, unfortunately, he went for the hero shot. That could have cost the Lakers, hopefully it won't.
@nicoalexander774
@nicoalexander774 2 месяца назад
@@AndrewRobyEngineerI get what you’re saying but, I think the inside the arc shot would have been an easier challenge by Giannis or somebody else for the Bucks as apposed to getting plenty of room to launch for the 3. Also, I disagree with the assessment that he wants to be a star. I actually think he needs to be encouraged to take even more command even if it takes away from the guys ahead of him in Bron and AD. The most recent game they had against the Denver Nuggets I got really frustrated because Austin only got 1 touch in the final 7 minutes of that game and both AD and Bron wilted down the stretch and kept on forcing the issue instead of going to HIM or elsewhere for production. So, respectfully, I think until he’s willing to take at least 15-20 shots a game, he’s going to continue to be a little underutilized on this team for what he’s really worth.
@AndrewRobyEngineer
@AndrewRobyEngineer 2 месяца назад

Middletons injuries have really staggered the Bucks offense. If he’s making the same shit he put up in that bucks vs suns finals, the bucks would be the overall 1 seed. But having him as a 3rd option and not the second I think has hurt them. Dame isn’t a lob threat passer like jrue was and jrue was great on the drive and kickout to middleton. I think the trade to get rid of jrue was actually a bad move

I really think Doc should work on Giannis' free throw shooting . As we know he can draw free throws easilt but drawn free throws are almost completely useless if you dont hit them

LOL. The entire team to the ft line earlier, the opposing team gets tired of guarding someone going through contact all game long, plus bigs need to be careful when they have 4-5 faults in the 4th already. All these and more happen when you drive to the basket all the time.

To me this game is a prime example of the difference between AD and Gobert. Don’t get me wrong, Gobert is ELITE in the paint but AD is just everywhere man. Gobert lives in the key but AD lives in the half court basically. That dame contest was insane

12:30 I do think Reaves got some tunnel vision and didn't realize he was that wide open for the shot lol, maybe that's why he backtracked so far the 3-pt line. If he hugs the line he might've had a better chance of a winning game three.

People really forgetting that Hamm won a championship with the Bucks. Hamm knows these players habits well especially since it’s the same core minus Jrue. Same thing with Ty Lue and LeBron. Ty Lue is always gonna have his team prepared for LeBron because he knows what LeBron likes to do.

The defensive rotations were shockingly lacking here from Milwaukee, but man.. that shot selection too! Surely the fatigue had to be a part in this, right? I mean, SO MANY of these looks from the Bucks are ones you regularly see them pass up

He does... Giannis embarrassed AD and LBJ way too many times during their encounters. He must have come on top something like 9/10 times. And this was a Bucks collapse more than anything else... Anyway, Bucks just better team and Giannis just better player on both ends.... It's just that Lakers fans (like this channel) don't wanna admit that AD is cooked and plays once every other week because his body can't take it. Good game, but lets not act AD is on the same level as Giannis, he is absolutely not.

in moments like these, I just don't understand why the bench doesn't get more minutes. Everyone's exhausted, so give minutes to the guys that aren't, right? I get it for the stars like Giannis and Davis, but I'm sure the other spots can be filled out by guys with a little more energy

The Lakers bench would've lost the game. With the injuries to Vincent and Vando and Dinwiddie out there with LeBron out it's not very good.
@chiggsytube
@chiggsytube 2 месяца назад
They'll get cooked. They don't have the respect of the refs. The dropoff from starters to bench is steep. Plus, you have a veteran point guard and Giannis, who should be able to exploit these Laker guards like everybody else does.
@wearelost666
@wearelost666 2 месяца назад
wow, I didn't know the drop off was that steep for the bench lineups, I figured that talent was starting to be more evenly distributed in the league and that bench players and starters would have less difference between them, but I guess not. Must be kind of tough to watch the starters be exhausted when you're on the bench just watching the play

Ham has lost us multiple games this season with his refusal to call time outs and inability to adjust. Average coach and this team has 4-5 more wins at least and we're in the hunt for 4th. AD has expressed frustration multiple times that the team needs to trust him more and not hard double on guys driving and leave it to him but that's the scheme🤷 leaving guys wide open to get hot from 3 doesn't help either.
