@@KennyFlorian hey Kenny my name is Kenny too haha. I am a huge fan of yours and MMA in general. I loved this demonstration. I have Autism and make videos on here about my life and personal goals. I also interview & profile others with Autism where they share their goals and stories. Also I've interviewed actors affiliated with my favorite movies and shows. Now I am looking to interview former and current MMA fighters. It would be an honor to do a collab with you. Please let me know if you are interested. Hope you're doing well and that you had a good Holiday.
Purple belt here and totally digging your content. These are the “invisible” Jiu-Jitsu concepts that I crave. The video production is perfect. Thank you and please keep it up. 👍🏼
In 2 years doing jiujitsu, I always heard the instructors telling to get the underhooks however they never explained why. Finally someone explained it to me! Thanks.
By far the best explanation of the Under-hook. Actually I never understood the concept until at now. Danaher will eat his heart out after watching the clip. Awesome Kenny.
Saw your ad Kenny! I trained BJJ back in 1999-2001 for a couple years. I forgot how interesting grappling techniques are. How effective and efficient. Subscribed
Thank you Mr. Florian ! I have been getting smashed for years in that half guard position wondering why my under hook was not effective . Can’t wait to try this technique .
I’ve only taken 5 bjj classes so these videos are perfect for me. Much more informative to learn about concepts and foundations then crazy techniques, thanks mate.
Kenny I can’t thank you enough for this video. I’ve been training 2.5 years before Covid, then took 1.5 years off while everything g was shut down, and now I’m back at a new school for 1.5 years. I’m still a lousy white belt. I hear everybody talking about underhooks, my coaches, my fellow classmates, etc but I’ve never really understood the explanations given to me about it., thus, I didn’t go for the underhook much. This video REALLY helped me understand the mechanics and I think I’ll be using the underhook more because of this. Thank you SO much for this.
This makes so much sense. I have up trying to use the undertook in half guard because I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong, and I couldn’t capitalize on having it. I’ll apply these concepts the next time I roll for sure.
First of all just wanted to thank you for taking out your time and making such a high-quality ,both in content and production, video. Would be nice to have BJJ 101 type of videos and then more advanced techniques. You can break them in playlists and it would be really helpful for all viewers to navigate. Also, I've seen a lot of technique videos on RU-vid, but would it be nice to see more game plan videos, what techniques fit the best for the specific plan, and what the proper execution looks like. Since you have such a wealth of competition experience, I think you have a lot of wisdom to share on how to create and apply different strategies in jiu-jitsu battles and other fights in general.
Subscribed! Can't wait for more quality content! I like the conceptual basic stuff you're tackling. I feel like we often just get thrust right into rolling and are forced to develop these things by doing not really by also understanding them. I feel like when we start standing (or on the ground), especially in the gi, it just turns into a whole lot of grip fighting and grip breaking without much purpose (if you're a beginner that is). Like, there's a certain way to break a collar grip but often you need two hands for that which gives the other guy a chance to grip you again with the other hand lol.
Wow, this is a proper diamond in the rough channel right here. Beautifully shot, and the information is really well explained. Can't wait to see what you do next Mr. Florian. Can you do the same kind of breakdown on grips please?
Can you bring out a tutorial on offensive options for an opponent in a strong turtle position? It's a weak spot in my game for sure. Thanks for the content, super high-quality quality info and insight as always 🤙
