It was an expert giving an opinion, not a reporter. As a journalist, this is totally fine. They included the Trump administration’s rebuttal, and the expert commented on them.

So if the material where on one of the lower classification servers, Confidential, Secret or other, it still would be a Federal Crime to disclose the information to the public!
