Rza is such a humble dude it's unreal that part when he said about I don't want to take two pieces of pie when there's only eight pieces. A tiered pay scale system is such bullshit. That shit makes me sick seeing friends blow up and get famous and then one or some of them in this case get a big ass head on them and a fat ego thinking they're the shit on some "lead singer to the band" shit... that is exactly what D12 was clowning on in the song "my band". I cant believe this shit actually happens in real life and dudes be acting like they're efforts are worth so much more... But then I guess that's just how the world works. Same shit with managers, supervisors, bosses, they work equal or a lot of the time way less then they're employees and then get paid a ridiculous amount more.
Like Dr Dre said "when 1 person feel they deserve more than another problems come." The only people that should be getting more is Rza and Inspectah Deck because they producers, and artists. Inspectah Deck does beats too. With this payment system going down now there wont be another album.

I always wondered about this. My assumption was always that there was no way a member like U-God was earning the same as Meth or Raekwon. He didnt contribute nearly as much as them.
manasseh dawkins I agree I watched that 4 part documentary RZAs brother Devine mentioned that every time he get his share of the money that he would buy up some property and land. Not to mention stocks life insurance and other business ventures. He should be well off.
I watched that 4 part documentary on Cinemax. Ghost face said that in the early days that they were doing a lot of homie business. Those guys wised up later on though.
RZA most likely did the production. I have to admit that the beats they've been on havent held the word play at all.UGOD said they more or less felt that way.

He doesn't have a single 90s classic which is when wu was at their peak. He killed hella verses but in the era of illmatics you needed a classic album. Gza rae ghost & meth had every requirement if that makes sense. Deck & ghost are defo carrying wu rn tho.

I think that teared system in regards to payment is BS but it makes sense. Because them brothers put on for the WU. When other brothers fell back and didn't do anything to push the WU name. Like Rza Rae Ghost n Gza go hard n Meth a machine. Their hard work pushes the WU TANG name ALOT farther than what the rest of the members have. I see Masta Killa working too tho. He should also get paid more than others who haven't done much with the WU name.
If there was a tier system the best way to balance it is as follows : Tier 1 ) RZA - for his sensational beats/ uniting the clan/ production/ mastering Tier 2 ) GZA, Meth, Ghost, Rae, Inspectah Tier 3 ) Ugod cappadonna masta killa, ODB fam royalties I feel like Inspectah Deck really got hurt the most financially with his album delays, and the flood. His verses were consistently up there with the top hitters. Truly ODB / Ugod didn’t contribute many verses but brought so much energy and flare, capadonna felt like a filler a bench warmer really just not on the same level as the rest of the Wu No disrespect to Cappadonna but he just didn’t have the same punch or lyrical talent, but I applaud him for always willing to fill track space

It's sad I'm not a Wu Tang fan like that because I'm more of a Bone Thugs fan but is sad these artists set the bar so high back in the 90s that they just can't match it anymore the same could be said for bone as Wu-Tang
