Mid 90s is just about the only movie where ALL the actors are actually skating, or learned how to skate specifically for the film. That "Grind" movie was trash, none of them actually skated
If you're on a skateboard on a treadmill on a skateboard but some green man Is pushing you then that implies that he's using a skateboard incorrectly and that he should learn how to skateboard without *ANY* problems.
Fun fact: in Back to the Future, Michael J Fox already knew how to skateboard because he did it in high school, But for the part where he jumps over Biff’s car they used a stunt man and apparently it was the stuntman’s first day on the job.
The easy fix is: you turn the treadmill upside down and put the actor on a skateboard on the threadmill and that way it looks like he is moving and its actually the earth thats moving, its that easy!
In back to the future and like gleaming the cube, the skateboarding was real. Some parts where they would like jump really high was obv fake but the skateboarding and them riding was real because back then they didn’t have like fancy stuff like really good green screens but nowadays they do
as a skateboarder, i can say it would be safer to just use the skateboard. all the other stuff will make it more unstable. if u dont know how to skate, practice. who would have thought that would have helped?🧐
Michael J Fox knew how to skateboard. Christian Slater learned how to skateboard for "gleaming the cube" because most of the bone brigade was in that movie AND some of them were his stunt doubles. Ben Stiller also actually Skateboarded in Walter Mitty but I think Rodney Mullen was his stunt double for the freestyle scene
The actor knows how to skateboar T_TT_TT_TT_TT_TT_TT_TT_TT_T This dude: just paint the skateboard green and the treadmill green and everything green paint the whole universe green
I have a theory on this: If you're on a skateboard on a treadmill on a skateboard, but some green man Is pushing you, then that implies that you're using a skateboard incorrectly! The fix: paint the village/town/city all in green then put a additional layer of green pavement. Then do the method on the video. Then you get a perfect skateboard scene, problem solved! Easy option: *learn to skateboard*
The budget for "Back To The Future" was $19 million; can't afford production delays, and going over budget, because an actor broke their arm from a fall skateboarding.
