There’s two reasons swordsman are so fast The lore reason: they’re so skillful they can carry out an entire sequence faster than sight The real reason: the animators needed sleep
TBH I do kinda wish we could see these "fast you can't even see them" characters. If possible I'd like an anime that has the shots switch from the "too fast to see" shots and slow motion shots for the world around the characters that fight. Would switch things up, but, yknow, animators are humans and have health so..
@@beastinfection638 I mean I would want to see this sort of thing in anime. You rarely see an anime where characters go in bullet time despite the fact they move like, quadrillion times the speed of light.
@@markandrew287 You're very right. These anime characters are supposed to be able to move faster than light, but it looks like they're barely moving faster than Usain Bolt
@@beastinfection638 It's either "They say they're moving at lightspeed but I barely see a difference!" or "Damn it they're moving too fast to see!". No in between.
I like how each warrior's fighting philosophy is reflective of their fighting style, with master wood, who prefers to poke at his opponents limits and hold back his power level until necessary, keeping his blade sheathed before the attack, while master emberson, who believes you should always fight your best from the start, has his sword drawn from the begining. Nice touch!
The techniques they were using was incredible, they used the student and teacher as obstacles to obstruct the other so they could have some rest, like fighting with a pole being used as an advantage.

Mentor: Use your eyes my student, he just did all his chores and taxes while simultaneously slashing and blocking each other’s attacks at the same time
The best thing is that the guy who doesn't know what is happening is probably the protagonist and it is likely that he will have to surpass these two at some point
“Ok, how do we animate a fight scene without actually animating a fight scene?” “Simple, just say they’re moving faster than light. People will see nothing and still be impressed”
Or “Animate 15 episodes of them thinking about their next move and talking to each other faster than the speed of light, than fighting all in 1 second, but this whole thing takes 30 episodes
That's what I loved about Dragonball. Piccolo actually teaches Gohan how to see near-lightspeed movement while Yamcha is fighting a Saibaman during the Saiyan Saga. You don't follow exactly with your eyes but rather you sense the person's ki/chi/chakra/aura and you follow that with your own heightened senses.
“But Master Ember managed to perfectly block that lightning-quick strike just in time.” The other master as he sheathes his katana: Eyyyy I see you homie

My huge pet peeve is when the main character is fighting someone, and the side characters monologue about how the main character is super strong. Demon Slayer is a good example.
Because animators be like, “How can we make something epic, but not animate anything?” All of them together, “Have them move so fast we can’t see them!”
Hey i'm new, i make mini movies that happen to be kinda funny, i'm trying to create something only i can make like griffy, calebcity and lenarr did I wouldn't mind y'all support

"so, what's your power exactly?" "i can move faster than the speed of light, destroy different realities, and recreate the universe itself" "woah, can you show me?" *literally just sits there*
Each time he returns to that spot he blinks, timed such that the photons appear only to return the next frame of the stop-motion animation of a single completed blink.
When master said they created a universe, and “ hey I’m here for the interview” dude went through the door, that’s when a portal was opened into other universes. He is ready to make a story line. I can respect that.
It's one of those powers the master keeps secret until he either gets killed by the main villain or reveals he can do later in the series after all the other characters are confirmed to move faster than light.

@@tdoyr2119 chakra was Naruto's version of mana. Ki is from Dragon Ball and spiritual pressure is from Bleach. Most anime call it presence or murderous intent, something along those lines, then use some other word for mana. Or sometimes they literally say mana. Anime doesn't give a shit.
I can hear them... I can hear... People... They're screaming... "You're everywhere", "How are you everywhere?"... And they're coming here... It's only a matter of time...
