In my personal context, the chair reminds me of my grandparents, of them sitting in their beautiful green garden, with me and my cousins running around full of laughter and happiness. It reminds me of my grandpa reading the paper, and picking me up and putting me on his lap. It reminds me of my grandma telling me I should eat more (because no matter how much I ate, it wasn't enough in her eyes). It reminds me of how simple life seemed when I was a child in the 90s. It made me sad to know this chair is hated (and outlawed) because all I could think about was my grandparents and parents being young and healthy.
