Oh wow her savings is amazing! I know at least half is also due to her spouse but it’s still amazing that despite her daily expenses on eating out she is able to have an investment property, and a substantial retirement fund.

85k seems low for a professor with many years of experience. In Canada she'd be making at least 150k.

Lol no that is not low in the States. The professors at the state college I attended in Nevada are paid between $65,000-80,000 annually and these folks have PhDs. It's deplorable.

Her husband must be rich because no way she has half a million in savings and have 1.5Million property almost paid off just by having 85k. The math doesn't make sense.

I think you missed her age and this is absolutely possible. Investments grow, that's the point. Too many people fall into the lie, that it's unattainable. It's what's keeping most people middle to lower class.
