@@eastkoma6215 if you mean bad or good definitely south😂 I ended up buying a pound of silver. I have a decent blob going. My brother is a professional blade smith he’s got a good set up with rollers and everything I’m gonna try and work with him and see if I can’t come up with something other than what looks like a dead chicken. This guy has some serious skills it is not easy or for people who expect instant results with no skills or training. Much respect to @ShefShaq!
How do you make the links? Buy a silver wire? Or use your own mill? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, how to make a clasp? 3d cad and casting?
Wire thickness is often somewhere between 2 and 3mm. You can wrap wire around a circular shaped rod or an oval one. An oval one can also be achieved by using two circular ones next to each other. Both a circle and oval can make a Cuban link chain however oval is preferable according to my research as it creates tighter links with more visible faces once filed and polished. The internal diameter needs to be able to fit two links, thus if you have 2.5mm wire for example, the center would need to be 5mm internal diameter in order to fit two links through. Haven't made this myself but I am looking to. Hope this helps!
