We worked on this video for 3 months and I personally am pretty proud with it. Thank you guys for the support and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed working on it.
seriously, heals slow you down, less heals, less ammo, less ammo again, less ammo again again, less tree heals, less tree health, less damage, worse spread, less health, less heals again, less heals again again, longer cd's, shit controls, less tree healing again, worse spread again, worse platforms.. and whatever else i forgot about in the millions of patches
@@knyt0 grip didn’t heal, less self healing for dash, grip would bug out more, tree had less health, tree didn’t give overhealth, longer cooldowns I think.
They knew exactly what they were doing it's just players didn't want to admit they were bad and that they were the problem lifeweaver was designed in such a way to where he forces you to rotate both his damage and healing (he still does) everyone just keep healing healing healing not realizing his healing is actually mediocre at best and garbage at worst compared to literally anyone else (posg nerf) so even tho his damage was "Bad" you we're forced to us it (those who realize this now can actually do it and win more games because he functions properly). But yeah he didn't have much of anything on release combined with players not playing him his intended way recipe for disaster.... Now he does enough healing to where he actually DOES allow you to do his rotations properly as well as good survivability and a good ult. You do enough healing to where essentially it's like Baptiste you're supposed to heal heal and go back to Shooting, unlike bap since his healing isn't instant people think by the time you charge the heal someone will die, but since his healing is now so good it feeds off of each other the hp you just gave that person gives you more time to switch hands do damage and charge up another heal compared to just constantly choking all game. The only reason they even balanced him in this direction like taking away the slow, giving him more healing ammo is so he could work in lower ranks and this is how people were playing him (i.e. incorrectly) that's the only reason we have this version of lifeweaver and not a more less annoying more rotation based damage-ey lifeweaver like people NOW want him to be. I will agree it's kinda the devs fault he was severly under powered so at this point the community has just gaslight themselves into playing the way you had to play when lifeweaver started (the way where you'd fing lose anyways) instead of using his full power like you can now. Tl:dr watch bogur and you'll see how he actually plays.
Congratulations on graduating university. I respect your work ethic, I strongly admire the influence you maintain in the Overwatch community, and I am blown away by you specializing in cybersecurity on top of everything else. Mad respect, Bogur.
@@v1sudo Your response saddens me. I hope you get the love and support you need, so that you stop spreading hatred when you see people encouraging each other. I hope you'll make something of yourself some day. I respectfully request that you not engage with me further.
This is such a cool video because all these unranked to gms miss people not being able to perform at a high enough level to really tip the scales. So playing a character that literally nerfed your ability to tip the scale and forcing a ton of games really is the TRUE grind encapsulated.
doing this with first-patch LW (with some help from the second patch) is insane, it's crazy just how bad he was for so long i've played weaver since he launched, and solo mained him since the most recent patch, and i have to admit that is some serious dedication to play him THAT much when he was in THAT state great job o7
To add on to that, at the start of the challenge Lifeweaver had: -25 less health -Larger bullet spread -Smaller clip size (healing and damage) -Tree had less HP -Tree did not grant overhealth -Pull did not heal allies -Pull cooldown was longer -Dash healed for 25 instead of 50 -Could heal for a maximum of 65 per shot instead of 75 -Was slowed when healing He was the worst support and character in the game and it wasn't close
The only supports that struggle in the metal ranks are the ones without the ability to kill people on their own which bogur talks about around the start of the video
@aSuperPi. nah bro I literally have the mechanics same, if not better than Diamonds+ w Bap, Ana, Illari, & same for deaths per 10 on Mercy & kiriko are usually better too than "high rank" supports & ik this bc anytime I see a diamond+ Support I check their stats rn Im in Gold 1 (Xbox)
Actually straight up watched the whole video in one sitting without fast forward or skipping. Really entertaining. Awesome editing and content. Funny af
@@lordpeterturbo5216 lol no its just this tik tok culture that has people unable to sit down and enjoy something for what it is. people need instant gratification, and its kinda sad. like sure you did the bare minimum. congrats on not having brainrot ADHD.
@@Libreomnot a lot of people have the time to sit through 45 mins of content about a game. They're showing that they were very intrigued and sat through it all. Take that stick outta the hole once in while eh. Don't have to be so stuck up all the time.
Congrats man on graduating and this insane challenge, very entertaining, and I respect your insane determination, you definitely have pushed the human limit of not giving in.
inspirational, balancing uni with an insanely hard offrole grind, never giving up, constantly learning. thank you for suffering for life lessons so we can learn them without the pain.
Never thought an unranked to gm video would bring a tear to my eye. And just like this challenge, you've done what people thought to be impossible. Absolutely Beautiful. Easiest subscribe of my life.
This video is produced so well what a spectacle I love it. The pacing, the audio cues made a very good well rounded video. So glad this was on my recommended.
the editing style on this vid and the way you use soundbites/memes and stuff like that is super dope. the choices are all funny, none of them feel forced, and it's juuust the right amount of them to break things up a lil without derailing the video. it's very obvious that a lot of thought and effort went into this, kudos!
Watched Flat's reaction to this one, but now I'm gonna rewatch it all over again on your channel. Well deserved and honestly hugely inspiring for anyone trying to climb. If Bogur can climb to M1 on Lifeweaver before the buffs, and eventually get to GM5 after the buffs. Then any of us should be able to get there with characters that are much much easier to carry with. Congratulations brother. Very well made video.
Insane respect for you Bogur for not giving up on this, there were no consequences really to not pulling through so really just shows what great spirit you have, amazing.
this video is the closest i have ever been to experiencing what sports fans experience when their favorite team clutches a world series or Superbowl or smth. good shit, man
this is the most inspirational piece of ART that has ever graced this planet. thank you for your service bogur, and congrats on graduating (and getting lw to gm)
Phenomenal video content and editing. I am new to your community, and I did not get to witness your grind in real time- but I appreciated getting to witness it now through this amazing video. You hit so many nuanced meme references and captured so much emotion through this video. I could FEEL the grind through my screen. Congratulations on not only dominating this W in OW2 but also on graduating and receiving your degree. You have an unmatched mental fortitude. Truly, an indomitable human spirit. You never fail to upload fantastic content, and give great energy in your streams, even when you are 9 days deep on a subathon from hell, high-quality merchandise, and run an all-inclusive, fun, discord. I am so proud to be a part of your community. Keep up the hard work Bogur- we are all rooting for you.
Greatest OW video to date, Bogur. Well done man. A little disappointed it was not done on just 1 account and before the buff, but honestly, the challenge might not have been possible without extreme luck.
the issue is that it would be statistically impossible, not only difficult, before the buff. Although the buff was not that significant it was a combination of the other characters receiving changes too. The only way this challenge could have been done pre buff is with a high qp mmr fresh account instead of the average mmr accounts that bogur was playing on. He could've done it on one of his 50-0 quick play accounts and achieved gm instantly but he wanted the experience to be authentic.
Congratulations Bogur, you truly are the lifeweaver of all time. I quit overwatch on lifeweaver release because I got pulled and petal platformed out of my shatter 10+ times but I'm glad there are players like you who make the hero work.
Damn Bogur this challenge has been full of emotions. You really put yourself into this, good job and I think you are an expiration for everyone who has dreams they want to follow, so thank you 😊 Sorry for my English
I'm not someone who can really enjoy streams, but I am generally fine with recaps or highlights and etc that most streamers in this genre put out... but I gotta say bogur has one of my absolute favorite styles when it comes to making stream-sourced content and bogur genuinely stokes my motivation to be better at things. This video in its entirety is a really great representation of all that. I love it here.
Your Unranked to GM Lifeweaver journey was incredible - the amount of time it took and stress that you put yourself through, made seeing that GM badge appear so much more worth it. Also, congratulations on graduating university - to be doing something like this on top of such a hard challenge definitely deserves a lot of praise!
Seriously, I fully RESPECT your commitment and dedication to the challenge. You have some real heart. Congratulations! I had uninstalled overwatch shortly after it became overwatch 2. It had become a shell of the game it once was. Interestingly enough, what got me to re-install the game was the new hero Lifeweaver. I liked the aesthetics of the hero and that was about it. Before watching your video, I was doing competitive que's to complete the challenge to unlock the hero. I'm about 3/30 wins RN after 10 ish games. Now that I've watched your trials and tribulations, I find myself thinking that I've made a horrible mistake.
Banger video bogur man. I had the privilage of seeing the whole journey LIVE, and god what a hell of a ride, there's such a sense of pride watching your efforts. Lovely editing, awesome video, Sisyphys finally pushed the rock up the hill. leju to all the twitch frogs! meandyou
your dont give up mini speech made me realize i should stop giving up in online games so easily, and also maybe stop ego peeking when i have a good angle lol
Honestly such bullshit that flats REACTION got more views than the guy who put it in all the work, edited it together, and was responsible for even the existence of this video.
Man this video was so inspirational to me. Imma be honest i'm one of these silly little Plat players myself and i've been struggling for months now to get out of this elo. But watching Bogur not give up on that besides all that happened made me really happy for some reason. If he managed to get to GM playing only Lifeweaver, i can get out of Plat playing Genji, i just need to get gud. You crying at the end was also so cute, you can see that you were really happy about your achievment and the support you received. I wish the best for you Bogur, you're the GOAT
I am so happy that i got to witness this. Thank you for entertaining me almost every day. Thank you for being so smexy. This video was a 10/10 enjoy and i would love to see more content like this. When i first got to know you i thought you were just another stupid troll, but as i consumed more of your content i understood the person behind this and started to enjoy it really much. I think i can speak for most of the people here when i say we are really glad for you to exist and we hope that you will keep doing what you are doing for a long time. bingus
I watched Flats reaction to this, and felt bad it robbing the view from this masterpiece. So I'll leave this playing while I sleep to give it the full view. :)
This is the greatest Overwatch 2 video I have ever seen. I respect and admire you for this struggle. Very entertaining. A great display of how keeping a strong mental state can be the key to over coming any challenge.
This is a legendary video. Amazing storytelling reminiscent of minecraft 100 day vids. You are godlike for surviving this gauntlet of a challenge. WE LOVE YOU
This perfectly encapsulates the plat experience. I just got to the widow leaving part and have to say games are extremely loseable with 3 minutes on the clock 4 meters from winning. In at a widow is either smurfing or throwing and after losing 1-2 team fights I understand the guy begging widow to swap and the widow leaving. Plat is the land of misfortune. You are either lucky enough to escape or unlucky enough not to
Man I LOVE the AC music in betweens, also as a LW fan im a bit bummed since you have so much knowledge and looking at how grueling the journey was, but you did it, big big congrats !
the emotional rollercoaster paired with the on point undertale music was *chefkiss* amazing video about the possibly most insane overwatch journey to date. this is genuinely inspiring!
you’re an inspiration for me to keep grinding and to keep improving. even though i’m diamond, im not ashamed because atleast i’m trying to actively learn and rank up. thank you for the content bogur
Bogur this was a really good video and a really impressive challenge to complete. Congrats man and congrats on the success of the content. Im so happy to see how you and your channel have grown over the years. Keep it going my dude the OW community is proud of you.
I can aboslutely vouch for what happens in Plat elo. I am a supp main, I play once in a while, and the ammount of times ppl blame others, start throwing, or leave are abhorent I feel your pain ♥
Finally watched this video, props to you man. This game already makes us a lil coocoo. This series is also what made me look into your content and not looking back!
Watching this video, it’s good to know that not being in voice chat doesn’t hinder my gameplay lol. (I just do quick play and I’m not trying to constantly be stressed out while playing.)
I haven’t been below diamond and Platt in overwatch two, but those ranks are a very strange combination of people that are much better than that rank and much worse than that rank. You are 100% right that the majority of losses feel like there’s nothing you could’ve done to make it a win, either the other team has a GM player on their team or yours has a bronze player. It’s extremely disheartening.
