Hey friends! Consider mulch. Using wood chips from grinded branches, leaves, or if nothing else stones to cover the ground. This will help retain moisture. It will help reduce the amount of water you have have to use and will carry you in the dry season. Do not till the wood chips into the soil, but lay them on top. Give vegetable waste to chickens and they will break it down and make an excellent growing soil. Search up the "Back to Eden" growing method. Hopefully this will help your good works. Peace.
I have watched this twice, it's Soo impressive what these guys are doing, I do consider and sack gardening and seeing this is amazing. Thank you kenganda for sharing this with us
Thank you so much Mac for what you are doing. I'm glad that I was part of the journey I setting up the hydroponics and Aquaponics at the farm. Keep I spring generations and may God bless you and family for what you are doing in Africa.
Dear Mac & Team, congratulations for the efforts. I would be interested to know how the marketing is going as you are mainly producing greens that are not on the local market? Do you supply the tourist industry. Another thing that would be interesting is the set-up and running cost? How feasible/challenging is it to copy your system? What is the setup cost for the greenhouse? The soil? How much do you spend on sterilization? How much water do you use and need to buy during the dry season...a lot of questions but overall, Congratulations for the achievement!
