I love that they had Voldemort say Gorr looked familiar. Normally in the comics, Gorr doesn't have a nose. When making the movie, they decided that if they got rid of Bale's nose, then he'd look way too similar to Voldemort. And that kids is the story of why MCU Gorr has a nose.

Of course they were going to do a “BECAUSE I’M BATMAN” joke with Gorr. Love wow they made the Voldemort comparison with him at the end. The second alternate ending seems pretty satisfying, just feel like you can’t close time travel once you opened it. Then again you can’t travel back into the past to change a future event. It would just open up an alternate reality.

@@darrenjackson4804 If Zeus exists in the marvel universe, it stands to reason that Hephaestus exists as well, and per our own Greek mythology, created Zeus’s lightning bolt. I doubt Eitri is the _only_ being in the marvel universe capable of creating superweapons for gods to wield. Edit: wait I think the original cyclops created Zeus’s lightning bolt, not Hephaestus…idk not sure. My latter point about still stands though-I doubt Eitri is the only one capable of making godly weapons

It feels sweet, and the Love and Thunder monologue at the end fits perfectly

@@Compucles well... Thanos was a titan that killed Loki, a god. And he was beheaded by Thor, a god. Or perhaps Loki wasn't a god by birth, but Frigga was, and she was killed by an elf. This movie f*cked all logic established by pretending gods are the most powerfull beings, when technically Hulk, Captain America or even Iron Man could defeat one.

@@sotsubreivaj Yeah, the MCU has long established that the Asgardians aren't actually gods but superhuman, long lived mortals. This film that then made a mess of that by introducing actual gods (who strangely can still be killed). My take is that Thor and the other Asgardian Gods aren't actually on the same level of gods like Zeus but are merely mistaken as such, and while Thor was vulnerable to being killed by the Necro Sword, it was just the same vulnerability he has to being killed by any other powerful sword. Meanwhile, someone like Zeus is powerful enough that it would take more than Iron Man or Captain America to put him down for good.

you travel into an exact same timeline that's just a bit further behind you. it doesn't change your timeline. just A timeline. which is why Loki and Thanos from that timeline having changes didn't affect the "sacred" timeline.
