I just came up with an entire plot for a story. Where a guy is enlisted by some people who invented time machines and send him back in time, and then he fully changes one thing, then goes back to his time and doesn't notice any change. He then spends the rest of his like slaving away to find what he had changed, to find the one thing thats different
Fun fact: we don't have walker mechs, because their huge profile makes them an easy target, whereas tanks can present a lower profile target with the same level of firepower, while being able to traverse more uneven terrain
@brightness8496 no we could certainly build mechs of a certain size, they simply won't be effective. I mean looking at certain dinosaurs, sauropods specifically, means that there are definitely materials that could take the stress. But unfortunately even though it's technically possible, it doesn't make mechs any less inefficient.
The biger thing is normally power that makes mechs unfeasible. A mech is a lot less energy laborious because bipedal walking is more like a series of controlled falls.
@@brightness8496 We could do it, build such machines without said issues and we would inevitably master the art of its maintenance but, the issue is, to make them such a way it'd require using lighter materials and designs meaning ultimately they're less effective and thus, still worse then tanks.

@@Him69429ngl bro I think you're the only person I've seen with that opinion, most people want the enlisted from like 10-16 months ago back because it was more historically accurate, very slightly less glitchy, and I literally haven't seen a single person that likes the research tree system more than the level upgrade system, it also kinda limited each campaign to certain weapons and vehicles so you knew whether to bring the king tiger or the lightest sherman you have
Context: the soldier moved the chair, the owner of the house did not see this happening so when he went back outside to sit in the chair, he missed it, so he sat hard on the ground, because the chair was not where he thought it would be. So this angered the man, and he swore for this to never happen again, then he went to his underground bunker where he makes robots and stuff, and decided to make a chair robot that always made sure you didn’t miss the chair. But in the testing era, he decided to make it expand so plus sized people could sit in it too, but something went wrong, to where the chair expanded so much, it just broke in half. The man had made a duplicating chair. The chairs kept duplicating until there were hundreds of chairs. Then those chairs bound together in the course of a few months until they had a entire giant robot, then those robots helped crate the extra chairs into more robots, the man managed to contain them for awhile, but eventually, they escaped. Creating a robot apocalypse. Nobody survived
This put in perspective some things like how much our actions actually interfere with every other people's lives and events, like, just by waking up 2 seconds earlier or late , how many lives we are killing and how many we are saving? How many did we kill by bumping into that stranger on the street? How many we kill by saying good morning to our coworker? It's really hard to know if our actions will only interfere in a short time and not have extremely long effects that will influence the next 1000 or 1 million years. And remember, you do quadrillions of actions each hour, so yeah, you probably are responsible for the lives and deaths of many babies.
@@mbah8724brother there is a time travel horror movie, it’s called Donnie darko. It’s more of a headfuck than it is scary but it makes you question reality when your finally realize the storyline. The Butterfly Effect is another one that comes to mind. You should check them out. There’s more I just ain’t seen anything else that fits the horror time travel genera. I guess you could say certain episodes of doctor who like the weeping angels is lowkey terrifying af.
@@mbah8724 we have Terminator, Army of Darkness, Happy death day and Project Almanac. But yeah, they are not "horror" per say, but there are many underground movies with the theme and pretty much all of them find timetravel spooky in some sense.

Time travel is crazy. If my aunt didn't move to the town my mom lived in, I wouldn't exist. If my Dad's parents didn't die, he wouldn't have moved in with my aunt and I wouldn't exist. If my cousin wasn't born, and didn't go to the school my mom was teaching and have my dad drop her off to meet my mom, then I wouldn't exist. And if my mom didn't have a miscarriage on her first child I wouldn't exist, because they only wanted two kids. It's pretty freaky to think about.
My theory: because moving the chair the man was late to go to the front line with his teammates, so when in the battlefield his country lost because missing 1 soldier which ic him. And then his country didn't accept the lost and ask their allies to send support. And the enemy did the same until it's become a world war. And because of the war the technology become advance to support the soldiers in the front line, and after many years of war the war finnaly ended and our technology has become more advanced than our timeline/universe here.
