You have to soak te clutch plates in oil a couple hours before you put them in.

Working on a KDX 200. Havent rebuild a 2 smoker since I was 14. How long does one heat case for and at what temp? They say 250 deg x 30min. My bearings did not drop in that smooth as yours had to tap them half way in.

Hydraulic press but it’s not a special tool apparently…..

@@ryhu5642 I got a bearing removal tool. I'm sure you could do it many different ways but heating up the case makes getting them out 100x easier. I used a heat gun but I probably could have put the whole case in the oven haha

Title says no special tools and the first clip shows the use of a hydraulic press…

you got me, but I meant crank pullers, etc.. you can drive the seals in with the hammer and a set of sockets..

Special tools in this instance would generally indicate a manufacturer specific tool - ie a tool that is made only for the purpose of rebuilding the specific engine being worked on. A hydraulic press, while not a household item, is not a special tool since it can be used across many applications.

The flywheel puller is a must and a clutch basket tool is way better than a crowbar or a screw driver . An old clutch plate welded to an old screw driver is okay

I left my bearings in the freezer for weeks. DON'T DO THAT!! My freezer was cycling warm, caused moisture condensation. And RUST. I didn't know..... Engine lasted an hour. Bearing failure. And I use some really good "snake oil" that I have 35 years experience with. So, put bearings in freezer for a couple of hours. Very sad and expensive and time consuming. I even have videos posted on the entire rebuild of my 1999 KX125. And we bought a new fridge.....
