How To 914: Suspension Console Installation 

Interested in the bottom connection of the inner & outer susp. console! the factory applied an overlapping scab plate or plates bridging the low point of those two pieces. reinforcing the "sandwiching" of the inner & outer long's. Did you replace those scab plates? If so did you manufacture them (what gauge) to fit or simply hammer them in to conform?

What is weld-proof primer and what color is this 914. It's what I want for my '73, Rusty the Project 914 and Future Hillclimber.
