Dude you're awesome, taking the time out to read, answer and help your viewers (I'm subscribing because of that). I have the S10-S...best bang for your buck. I love this scooter. My only complaint is that it doesn't indicate the percentage of charge it's at when charging. I got used to seeing that on my Ninebot Max...which I rarely use anymore (too slow) lol
My Joyor Y7-S started to prematurely lose power and then shut off altogether when I was still at 49V (48V battery). I’ll open everything up like you demonstrated here. Hopefully 🤞🏼 it’s just a connection issue, because I have my doubts that Joyor will assist technically. I’ll be sure to use the zip tie trick if that appears to be the issue !
Hello👍 I bought a S5 on Amazon, but nothing works, I charge it until the light turns green, but when I turn it on with the controller nothing works, not even the display. I think it could be a wire that was not properly connected? Thank you very much
You can turn off the speed limiter in the setting menu via the LCD screen. Hold both + and - gear shift buttons down at the same time while turned on. The settings menu will pop up and using the power button to toggle through to ‘P10’ you then use the gear selector ‘-‘ to change the value to ‘0’ (it’s set to 1 by default - or in other words, set to speed limiter being turned on). Much easier and better way to remove the speed limiter without permanently altering your scooter and potentially damaging other components.
Hello, I have simple question. Can I use this electrogel for waterproofing wires and connectors like you did in your waterproof video ? Can you confirm this gel will be fine and not hurt connections or wire ? / DEN BRAVEN DISTYK ELECTRO 300ml / Thank you for your answer.
I have the old scooter All you need to do is cut the blue wire on speed controller If you have a new one you need to get into setting on the display and turn it off And I can't do a video on it because I don't have the new version
This should be the correct battery 36V 48V 15Ah Ebike Battery Bike Lithium 48 Volt PVC E-Bike Bicycle Batteries for 500W/750W /1000W Motor with BMS and 2A Charger Balancing Electric Scooter Universal Backup Battery,48V 13AH a.co/d/i7wIsEp I believe that you probably can get a little bit bigger storage battery like a 15ah to go further on one charge there is plenty of room for the battery Just be careful going bigger with the watts I don’t know if the speed controller will be able to handle the extra power.
hi David, my battery controller (silver box) went out and I had bought one from a scam Chinese joyor website and of course didn't receive anything. I was wondering if you know where I can buy a replacement from a trusted source? I have the s5 also, thank you.
I got my scooter three days ago, unboxed it and charged it. after charge I rode it around quite a bit, approximately down to half the battery. I charged it and after about an hour the green light started blinking. pulled it off the charger and it was showing lower than it did before i put it on now every time i run it down which is like 5 miles i put in on the charger and an hour or two later it starts blinking green and it wont charge over the yellow battery indicator light. Any suggestions?
I would go on there website and let them know what is going on. But from what one viewer just told me these are not vented correctly and told me his controller burned out and his battery got super hot also He said he drilled holes in the front plate to cool them but I don’t know about that because dirt and water will get in So maybe let the battery and controller cool for at least a few hrs Also just in case just make sure the plug you are plugging into is ok Or try a different outlet I’m finding out these are very finicky.
Wait in confused, bought mine on Amazon, hits 28 mph, but I'm only 160 lb.... says it hits 31... was I supposed to unlock the speed limiter somehow? Thanks in advance, would like to see what your s5 mph is, just thought 28 was fastest and they advertised it wrong or something
It’s so many factors One major is the advertised specs On there website is one thing on other sites Amazon, eBay, etc Other factors is Weather colder it is let’s say their test was 87deg they hit 31mph and u ride in 70 or even 60deg it will knock the speed down a little. But to hot 90+ the motor and speed controller will heat up and u will run slower Wind how much head wind u have Clothing you are wearing . Road surface, perfect black pot, dirt, bad black top, grass, mulch And mostly perfect level or slight uphill.. take any electric vehicle’s specs as around what it will do speed or distance.
Definitely check the connections in the battery compartment behind the front plastic cover ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6cUxe7ADzVE.html
@@DavidsHowtosReviews thanks a lot for your input I just got it running it turned out to be one of the connections behind the screen wasn't fully seated so I'm guessing it wasn't sending the signal
Yes All the parts of the electric have plugs Even the front light has a plug under the light Mine came off after dropping off a curb the first week I had it
I don’t think it has a lock I would think you have a problem with the thumb throttle Ether not going all the way or possibly needs to be changed or speed controller has something wrong with it
It’s awesome. the only issue I’m having is I don’t know how to access the eco mode or anything like that. I don’t wanna use the eco mode but i don’t even know how to find the modes
@@DavidsHowtosReviews yeah I would return it to but I don’t wanna go to the whole process and plus it’s just a minor issues only the side lights on one side but I’m pretty sure I can fix that easily
@@DavidsHowtosReviews one last thing is it possible because I seen that instead of the air up tires they put just all rubber tires and I looked up one video and it says the only thing you need to do on the screw the motor a little bit the bolts and then the other one goes straight on and you put the big plate circle plate back on the tire and it’s automatically on there I’m guessing
@@DavidsHowtosReviews and another thing is I seen that you had a video on how to do the back tires to take it off. You had to cut one of your sockets for that to fit. Does any other tool like a wrench a pipe wrench anything else that will take that off unless do I have to go buy the special tool that it really needs
No But owners throw up what the codes mean it the comments I have never see that one e-002 before Definitely check your wire connections up by the display and in the battery box
Yes these are not fully waterproof There should be a fuse between the plug and the chip board / battery Check that see if it popped. They usually make a good bang snap noise when the blow. Probably will be a 40 or 50amp
I don’t know all depends on what happened Tough to say If you can diagnose with a digital volt, ohm meter you can maybe see where the electric stops or is still going to battery / chip board but chipboard is no good.
