Tried to do this but Im in the USA, it shows SOS only. Do I need to be connected to Globe network or physically be in the Philippines?

You probably can still register, but for it to work it needs to be within the Globe network. Once you're in the Philippines you should have the network coverage which will get rid of SOS.

Thank you for your question. You can load up your number the same way with a regular SIM card. Nothing fancy. Any load you can buy for a physical SIM card also applies with an eSIM.

Hi @arrobangjonathan Okay, first, be sure to register your SIM. Second, go to your phone's settings, cellular, if you are using an iPhone, make sure that the eSIM is also turned "ON".

If you will be buying an eSIM, you will given a new number. But if you want to use the same number on the eSIM you will have to go to a Globe store, plus you will be required to convert your account to postpaid plan.

What if you have 2 prepaid numbers saved at your GlobeOne app? How can I specifically choose my desired prepaid number to have an eSIM?

If you intend to turn your existing prepaid numbers into eSIM, you'll have to visit a Globe store to request for the conversion. However, if you will purchase from the app and register it on your phone, the last part of the setup process is choosing your default numbers i.e., number for calling, texting, data.

Hi @jzangozo8789 That's a very good question. I honestly don't know the answer as I have not experience this. May I suggest that you get in touch with Globe customer service as they will be able to give you a better answer than my wild speculation.

This works the same way as a physical SIM, just a digital version as it's installed on the device and not inserted on SIM slot like they physical one. Also needs to be registered.

You can visit a globe store and request to convert it to eSIM. In my experience, they asked me to convert it to a postpaid plan.

eSIM is available for prepaid and postpaid plans. The eSIM I registered is prepaid, but you can always upgrade to a postpaid line.

Hi @digweed88 thank you for question. Globe's eSIM can be purchased on Globe One app. As for data, GoPlus400 is for 25GB, I don't think they are offering more than that right now.

Tanong ko lang po, kasi gagawin ko po sanang eSim ang globe sim ko po (to receive verifications, etc.) pero ang ilalagay ko po na physical sim ay GOMO (for my messaging purposes and data) mag fufunction pa rin po kaya sila? As well yung pag switch kung anong sim ang gagamitin for messaging or data?

Yes pwede po basta open line yung phone mo pwedeng from different carrier provider ang eSIM mo. Pwede nyo rin po iset yung default number para call, text, at data.

If conversion to eSIM, globe store po ang makakapag convert. Sabihin nyo lang po sa Globe representative na ipapa convert ninyo ang existing SIM card ninyo.

The model of phone you mentioned is compatible with eSIM but you have to make sure that it’s not carrier lock so you can use it in the Philippines.

Pwedeng pwede. Ang lahi ra jud sa eSIM Kay embedded siya sa phone, pero ang function mao ra gihapon, so ok ra siya gamiton pang register sa mga apps like GCash or PayMaya, etc.

Hi @chier.5305 Ibang number yung ibibigay sayo, so kelangan mo rin iregister ulit yung number ng eSIM mo para hindi siya madeactivate. So same lang talaga, the only difference is ang eSIM digital at embedded sa phone mo, while the other SIM is physical.

Hi @jigzzjigzzz pwede naman maipa convert to eSIM ang prepaid number pero pagpunta mo sa Globe store, nirerequire nila na kumuha ka ng plan para iconvert nila ito eSIM yung existing prepaid number mo. Yan yung base sa experience ko and many of those who tried, pero try mo lang din baka sakali may changes sa policy nila in terms of converting to eSIM.

Hi @mocha_chuchay5945 Pwede mong idelete yung eSIM before mo ibenta yung phone mo. Punta ka lang sa Settings --> Cellular, tapos sa pinaka baba ng screen meron nakalagay na delete eSIM.

Hi @edgaracepasion9317 from what I heard from the Globe rep when I visited a Globe store, hindi na nga raw pwede ibalik pag naconvert na from physical to eSIM. Although, I have doubts with the answer, I think it’s worth getting a second opinion from another Globe insider.

Meron pong bagong version ng Globe One app, check nyo po. Medyo nag iba lang yung mga placement ng ibang buttons.

Aw, salamat sa info. I think sa prepaid ganun nga mangyayari, pero hopefully in the future, pwede ng ipaconvert from eSIM to physical.
