How to do heartless curls : First you wash you hair Don’t dry your hair Brush you hair Then split you hair into 2 parts The you put the curler on The put you hair strips around to e curler then at the ends put a hairband or scrunche Then you put a clip at the top of the middle of your hair Then if you want you can put your hair in a bonnet Then leave it overnight Tip:it’s better to do heartless curls before you go bed so you don’t have it Wait long
Let me settle this once and for all: If you want your curls to look good, DONT do it with DRY hair. BUTTTT You DO NOT need to DAMPEN your hair, you should MIST it
How do you keep your hair from getting tangled and loose. And at the end you have very even and pretty curls. This may be because I don’t really take my time and I have shorter hair but still how do you get it so tight and to keep it that way?
I tried this in a different completed way And It didn’t even curl it just came out like my normal hair because I did wet my hair so I’m going to try this out I hope this works bc I’m going college tomorrow and It’s my first dayyyyy and I want to look good so TYSM!!!!!!!:)
I haven’t tried it with this specific heartless way before but I would personally prob let my hair air dry 80-90% before doing this so there’s still a bit of moisture to hold curl (my hair personally won’t hold curl unless there’s a bit of moisture left) and it wouldn’t take forever to dry like it would doing it wet
That doesn’t work for people like me who have incredibly thick hair that takes hours upon hours to dry. I’ve used curlers, perms, etc all my life. It only works incredibly good for me when I let my hair dry all the way by air drying after a shower then immediately doing this. When I dampen it, I end up having wet hair when I take it out that immediately looses the heatless curls.
@@michaelscottspapercompany6373 YES! I have very thick hair and I have this type of hair curler, but the thing is if you get a spray bottle with water and ever so slightly dampen it it should still dry overnight
@@michaelscottspapercompany6373 girl same. You need to dampen it so slightly that it’s barely wet. Like if you touch it, you question how wet it is, but it will have you amazing hold. The alternative is using an ultra light fast drying styling cream or mousse
I tried this and it works, I slept with it and it wasn’t really good for me, but some people I know say it works for them. I personally just do it in the morning and leave it while I have breakfast and stuff, I always make sure to have my hair not wet but humid, because they last longer, I don’t put any spray so they last only the morning, afterwards I just get waves, but I guess if u put a fixating spray it will last the day.
@@pareenadoshi3358 😂 ikr .. it’s just what people call it … it’s not really a thing I don’t think.. anyways my moms a cosmetologist and never calls it that.. I’ve heard RU-vidrs say that lol.. I know what you mean though . It’s just loose curls with volume… or it’s the “worn in look”
Listen I have been doing heartless curls for years. I have straight/wavy hair. Dampen it first of all. Also instead of twisting all your hair in one direction you separate the front and back. Twist the front section around the curler clockwise and the back section should be twisted counter clockwise around the curler. It really helps and give your curls more texture!! Also just like a French braid you should add hair each time you twist and alternate between the front and back. It’s more tricky but turns out way better!!
This is a good thing if you have natural curls or waves but otherwise it will just turn into waves and slowly go back to being straight. Ik those BC I have natural curls as my friend has straight hair- we decided to try this back on a sleepover and she turned it with tight beach waves and mine was just very defined.
@@MariaIvanova-Chaichenets Really? I tried this and wished I knew about this a decade ago when I constantly straightened my hair. My natural curls seem to die when I use this method, it holds a beautiful kind of pipe curl at the ends but otherwise it’s quite straight. I’d have to maybe pull a straightener over my hair twice and it’d be straight. If I ever wish to straighten it again, I’d sleep with this in to make it easier 😂 (my hair has lost alot of the tightness in my curls anyway, because of the length now but this seems to worsen it)
I usually sleep with it overnight an I dont wet anything,(its my type of hair) like after my hair takes a position its like really still cause they are thick but straight, if you shve really thin and straight hair then you should spray it after it’s in the curler
Hair is better shaped when wet or heated. Your hair has hydrogen bonds, that only water and heat can break. That's why heatless hairstyling requires hair to be wet first, and dried fully in the desired shape
Wrong. If you keep the hair in a certain position for long enough, it’ll begin to take on that shape. Ever notice that you can braid dry hair, take the braids out after some time, and the hair appears crimped??
@@jesseholguin9656 it's much less efficient though, and the effect will wear off more quickly. I guess I should've said that hair is more easily shaped when wet or heated
Wet ? I did it on barely damp hair and it’s didn’t dry overnight ( I slept about 9 hours those night ). By the way, my hair is not too thick, it’s normal amount, silky and straight, medium length . Woke up with damp hair 😢 , no curls
@@_RayOfLight_ It's probably a hair porosity thing. You might want to try using a curl cream like Aunt Jackie's Curl La La and just leave it on until that dries (not while you're sleeping because that seems to be trapping the moisture in your hair.)
I tried damp hair and dry hair (overnight) Dry Hair Overnight: results to more loose light wavy more like curls Damp Hair Overnight: results to a really stronger than goku curls If you want something light and just gonon with your day curls, go with dry hair If it’s a very special even or you want to be extra, go with dampen hair You welcome
I'm not sure if you've experienced something completely different but I also did the same exact trial with completely straight hair that is naturally straight. I went completely with dry hair and it made the most beautiful curls I've ever seen. Then the next night I went in with completely damp hair as instructed, and in the morning it was completely limp and not even close to a curl. Damp hair does not in fact make tighter curls. Also tried this on numerous other people.
I dry my hair 85%. Make sure to keep the sausage thing close to you head and wrap tight. You don't want it loose or your curls won't work out. Then leave on overnight! I use a satin bonnet over it. Works great
I made my own because my mom won’t buy me one and it took me 4 hours to make this but it was worth it. (I used an old silk robe that I didn’t use often, cut the bottom and sewed it together by hand, and stuffed it with cotton)
Is it legit so difficult my first hair tongue didn't stay in place and it messed up my whole hair trying to do that this way just do it in one big chunk
If you’re going to do this with dry hair then make sure that you’re applying it right after you blow dry it. It does need some moisture but not damp wet hair to curl. I’m a licensed cosmetologist.
I’m sleeping in it overnight and please can I get a pin because I’m liked to all of your videos and subscribed to it and I watch do much of your videos to do my hair
How the actual fudge do pple do this!?!? How do you only do your front?!?!?!? Where is the rest of your hair?? What about the hair in the back? I'm so Flippin lost!!!
WORST TUTORIAL!!!! It needs to be damp to actually curl. (THAT MIGHT BE WHY IT SAYS TO DO IT IN THE DIRECTIONS).. LOL.. And you also have to leave in longer or overnight if you actually want curls... it's called HEAtLESS CURLS, for a reason, NOT HEATLESS WAVES!!!!
One thing I do that she did not that I feel makes a big difference is how she ended them. You can get that very last bit to curl if you warp (twisting the ends to keep it tidy) and then bend the end of the tool up to hold over top of the last bit of hair (basically flip up onto the end of hair), THEN wrap it with the scrunchie. No unraveling or jutty stick ends on the lovely curls. Also, yes to a commenter to perhaps lightly mist dry hair with water to get a tighter set with more hold, but only if you have fine/quick drying hair. Not good for thick dense hair that won't dry on the insides overnight.
so I know sometimes using damp hair won't work and sometimes when you even sleep in them overnight your hair is still wet when you wake up. That's why I like to do the style on like 90% dry hair and then do the style and spray with just a little bit of water afterwards. Also, you have to leave it in a long longer than just 2 hours.
lol i actually use that and do french braids when my hair is 50% dry beCAUSE i have thick curly hair and the braids are closer to my own texture. only for when i want to „mix it up“ though
As an Indian, Indian girl students always have to go to school with two braids on so because whenever I made braids my hairs were always tied the whole day and I didn't even take it off while sleeping so the next day whole taking it off I had curls and I was always happy abt that 😅 🤭
Best way to do this is right after you finish blow drying - hair is almost bone dry but obviously still malleable from the heat. Damp is still too wet. Mouse or a lightweight leave in stay product, sleep in it - Second day dry hair wont work, damp will not, but it works way better when your hair is almost fully dry after blow drying.
I have the same problem just cant do it im sure there is a part where we just dont see I even managed to get it knotted and double knotted frustrated is not the word
y’all should definitely check out the heatless sock curl hack, much easier, but better results! You just need long socks, a pencil (optional ) water, and hair!
I do this with a wire headpiece. Its best to use hair that's about 80 or 90% dry (it should feel dry but cool) I add some leave in conditioner oil on my ends and leave overnight. The curls stay for thr 3 days I leave my hair unwashed 😁
For my flat straight hair, I take hair mousse and put it on my dry hair. It stays longer and idk the mousse just adds hold and it smells better than hair spray.
Just tried for first time going to bed with it. I had such a hard time i ended up just rolling my hair all around it towards the back, a little scrunched up, and put silk cap over it. Hope it turns out well 😭😭😭😭
