I strongly advise you against self trading, it's really dangerous and had brought so many investors down, you need someone with the knowledge and strategies, someone dedicated to the crypto currency market business, and I will strongly recommend expert, Mrs Mary Callahan Erdoes

You are very clear and are making a lot of sense Sis Nic , but to add more on your wonderful teaching ; high leverage does not mean automatically your risk or profit becomes high - You can have the highest leverage yet risk very low through positioning and lot size . Increasing leverage or trading an account with a high leverage does not mean you are going to make more money or lose more money , yet trading with a high lot size or opening many positions will definitely have you lose more or gain more . I think the essence of leverage is that it allows retail traders access to trade in the FX market , allowing them to control large sums of money from small deposits . If you talk about high risk or high profits you have to explain 'LOT SIZE' OR 'POSITIONING .'
Look at a trader's screenshot you'll see like "0.10; 0.01" etc. Those are called lots. They are a measurement of position size. If you see 0.01 it usually means the trader took a 1k trade. Lot 0.10 means 10k trade. Lot 1.00 means 100k trade etc

I don't think you giving the whole story... You mean to tell me after the broker borrowed you R500,000 and you made R550,000 which is R50,000 profit. The broker let's you take the whole R50,000 for you and then just wants their money back that they borrowed you! How is that profitable for the broker?
the broker's interest is more of receiving his spread fees or commission, based on your choice of charges when signing up, what you make never really matters to them. Margin can be sweet like fanta and sour like bitter cola; be guided.

Okay but is not luck, is all about having good investment plans most of all trading with a trust worthy expert. Watching professional trading videos and most especially connecting with the right person the digital world is full of in unreal people I met some of them during my success journey. I felt same way when I started especially when you use demo account you might be winning but when you put in real money you start losing I understand and I pass through it all. I’m very happy I’m profitable now.

The only thing I'd add is the leverage aspect, where instead of risking the R800 leverage will give the ability to have that kind of buying power while you risk way less. For instance, with 1:100 your actual risk will be around R10(1%) of your account allowing you to gain up to R80 with a 1:8 RR. Leverage is the ability to buy that much, not that you'd actually have to multiply your profits and make 50k in just one trade risking all your money. It's a ted bit more complex than that

In every pair u risk 1% but in most cases brokers give u high leverage around 1:2000 to 1:3000 and bonus just for u to risk higher and the minute u fall for that you'll blow account before it goes to the right direction another thing is that ppl are greedy and they're trading without stop loss .... But in order to kill the market u have to know the structure candle sticks pattern and chart patterns Know ur entries and your exit u can't expect to take R1000 to 10k in one day it goes with experience

I don't use leverage at insane levels, but engage with a structured spreadsheet to takes all the guess work out around the way I trade. This way I cannot do what I want if the data says something else (I'm not talking about journaling your trades which is even more important as well). No matter which strategy you use, compounding the account is the goal to set one financially free.
Dear Financial Bunny, Please think carefully before making Forex look so good... the reality is very far from easy FX money. For anyone just starting out with Forex, I would recommend cutting losing trades as quickly as possible and setting decent take profit levels for winning trades - in doing so you can potentially be profitable with less than 50% correct trades. Futures trading markets have much better potential for anyone who wants to start learning how to trade, please take my word for it, there is also sufficient leverage to still make allot of money. Micro E-mini S&P has low minimum account balance requirements to get started. I hope this comment can help change someones life... for the better.
Don't use more than 5% out of your account for any one position. Impulse trade is going be a 5 wave Elliot. So only 3 positions max at any one time. Best to use a max of 15% @ 15x leverage. Use only what you are willing to lose. The trend is your friend. Learn to control your emotions first. Win or lose has the same psychological effect on the brain. Practice on a Demo account first( practice account). Secret to a successful trading account steady gains that compound. Not trying to hit home runs. Greed and paranoia are heads and tails of the same coin.

Nah man, the is what we call pips and lot size aswell u cannot make R50000 from R1000 with leverage 1:500, the spread alone nust be tsje into account, the spread is what the broker profits from, it's the difference between bid/ask price Say a spread is R50 per yrade, u are alread down R1000 - R50 = R950 And 1 pip costs R15 per dollar U need 3333.33 pips to reach R50000 Mind you only a drawdown of 63 pips would take you out/wipe you out 63 pips x R15 = R945 U need to be prrcise, and also hold for weeks if the trend is that big... of which it hardly happens...
The calculations aspects of trading are often overlooked, especially when in comes to the spread, swap, etc. Novice traders need to put more effort into this.
