I have been drinking alcohol for two decades and i have tried so many times to break this habit but i always find myself drinking again.Few days ago my five years old daughter told me,dad if you keep drinking alcohol you will die and we will be alone 😢. Today is my fourth day without alcohol and I believe this time i will quit for good.I need your prayers.

You drink because you are lonely. You need to do social exercise (team sports) and make friends.

Study how your mind works, Then you can work with your mind, rather than your mind working against you. There is a lot of videos on youtube on this subject. If you can get one-on-one support, it is even better. It is difficult to do it on your own. I really wish you and your family all the best.

I dont know why u drink. I am very sad and very lonely but I dont drink. I have other habits that dont involve using chemicals. If I dont change I will die from my own thoughts. I'm not lonely because of a lack of friends. I'm unhappy because I'm not living my purpose for various reasons.

I broke multiple bad habits in a relatively short period of time because I love the Lord with all my heart, mind, and strength and my neighbor as myself. The Bible tells me my body is the Temple of God where the Holy Spirit of God dwells. He is Holy, so I must be Holy. I gave up my habits that aren't good for me because of The Law tells me to do so through the Lord Jesus Christ.

I just remembered something Rabbi Remember when you mentioned something in a class about the refrigerator. That would be like the sparks those whitish bluish sparks its all been grounded almost like if we just threw seeds and never planted them. The difference between us and the refrigerator We all have Gold in our hearts and theres Gold in the sun. The refrigerator doesnt have the heart to tell you that 😂❤

I think what got me hooked on the VLTs was playing the machines until I was broke.One of my friends from the cafe gave me 20 dollars to try one more time.His name was Ray and was on welfare.I lost it all except for 25 cents. We looked at each other with a shrug and I chose the center line.Thats when the jackpot showed up on that one line.I won 500 dollars lol we were laughing so hard.I gave him half because without Ray I would have had nothing.Ray passed over from cancer.Im glad at his end times he lived in our block .

Thank you, rabbi, for your light. I feel need to share my way of how to change habits; chose 2 habits you want to get rid of (main habit and side habit) and occasionally let yourself break the side habit. This action is comforting and therefore it will be easier to get rid of the main habit.

I had the same argument with my late husband of 49 yrs all through our marriage. He was come day go day and I'm NOT. I would say I'd divorce you but I couldn't break another one in. He would reply, you don't have me broken in yet... and he was right. We're not together to dominate each other but build each other up. We did that, too and that's why we lasted 49 yrs. OR as he would say...who else could/would put up with us? lol I took care of him at home till he passed from a long battle with cancer just like he took care of us, his family since the day we were married. Hashem knew exactly whom I needed and exactly whom he needed. It was up to us not to give up and we didn't. :o)

This definitely makes sense. For me, I keep looking and venturing out of a cave. Then I run back in. Iv been through alot, but I'm not a victim, I feel like a worror, but something inside me makes me run back into a cave, and I only peek out and stair at the sun's reflection on my hand. I don't know why, because I have running shoes on, but I am unable to run. And I don't know why. I woke up this morning to this video, so I watched it. It relates to how I'm functioning. I have no addictions. I just feel still.

This is 100% ADHD i'm the same. Check out some videos explaining it, it makes you still and procrastinating a lot, and can easily be confused for something else (depression, social anxiety) it's a neurological disorder and must be treated as such. Good luck.

Rabbi the particle light is whitish bluish sparks but I think with Gold it can become like an inner mist roll. I don't know how to explain this But my heart and mind knows the difference between the two just like we would look at a blueberry vs bread and butter. Or even the earth is like the blue berry and the Sun is like Golden bread and butter I can tell the difference

We quit smoking cigarettes 8 years ago, stop drinking beer 16.5 years ago and gave up sugar 8 years ago because we had to due to prediabetes. Habits are hard to break. And now we are addicted to our smartphones.
