Thank you for making this video; we were so frustrated, as we couldn't figure out how to add a class to the waitlist. Your video was the perfect solution to our problem. We would never have figured out how to do this on our own.
You're welcome! This was so confusing for me too. It took me an hour of looking through InSite, and then another 30 minutes talking to a Helpdesk agent on the phone, who was also confused. Plus I was scouring the web and DVC's website and RU-vid for any documentation on this, and I found none whatsoever. I am surprised anyone knows how to do this.
When I click on Register Now, so I can register to be on the Waitlist, a screen pops up that says, "Enter Authorization Code". Any idea what I should do?
Sounds like the place you're at is trying to register, not waitlist. The correct button is "Waitlist," not "Register Now". (e.g. 1:04 in vid). The input you're asking about sounds like it needs an add code from the professor.

When I try to click "Waitlist" I get error: "You cannot waitlist in more than one section per course." even though I am not currently registered for any classes. What is wrong here?
It sounds like the issue is that you have already waitlisted one section for that course, even though you are not registered for the course yet. I guess they are saying that for any given course, you are only allowed 1 waitlist spot. Have you already waitlisted another section for that course number? If I am understanding wrong, try contacting the helpdesk. They are who showed me how to access the waitlist. Their phone number is: (925) 229-6888.
