Yeah as long as it's raw brass. A lot of brass has a clear coat on it to prevent it from changing color over time.

I have been wanting to try on a copper cuff piece of some kind. I will let you know when I do. You would spray the whole cuff with sealant ? How would answer a customer who’s asks “ how do take care of this piece ?”

If you use a strong sealer it should be totally fine. As for up keep you just have to make sure to not get any acetone on it because it will strip the sealer.

Will the ammonia dissolve superglue? I got a big old assembly I wanna patina.

I don't know but I would think that it might. I suggest doing a test before doing it.

When soldering copper do you know of a copper solder? Ive just been using sterling silver paste, I hate when the silver shows on my copper jewelry!

There is a kind of copper colored solder but it still doesn't look 100% copper. What I do to deal with this when I have to is make sure to remove any extra solder and copper plate the solder areas but for the most part I don't care anymore if you can see silver in my copper work 😁

Yeah as long as it's raw metal so without any coating on them.

Question. I have a table top (46" round) I want to do this to, I can do all of the steps but seal it in a container for 8 hours. What else do you suggest? Can I do this and not seal it in a container and get the same results?

I don't know what will happen if you don't seal it but you can use a much smaller container to do this in. I only use something this big because I do a lot of parts at one time but for one or 2 items you can just use a jar or maybe even a small plastic container.
