Oh my gosh! You saved me from throwing my new laptop at the wall! Great instructions without a lot of unnecessary and lengthy fluff. Many many thanks to you!
OOMGGGGG, I usually dont leave comments but THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! I have been trying to do this for a few days now and because of your clear explanations, I finally did it!!!!!! God bless you!!
after you add the email to outlook, can you log in directly to Outlook with the email and password from a new computer or do you have to complete these steps on the new computer?
Sorry for the late reply. If you have the Outlook application installed on a new computer then you log into Outlook on the new computer. If you are using the browser-based version then it shouldn't matter which PC you log in from.
This is so helpful, but my new hiring company uses godaddy and I cannot figure out how to connect our domain to our fiscal agents Outlook email. Any ideas? 😭 I know it was connected at one point bc the previous employees had them. Could it be through our website editor on WIX? The domain from godaddy is shared there? Appreciate any leads!
Hi Alex. GoDaddy is both a domain registrar and hosting company, but it sounds like your website is hosted by WIX. You'll need to determine where the domain name resides; GoDaddy or WIX - that is typically where the email is configured. Once you determine that, it's just a matter of determining how the mailboxes are configured. I'm sure WIX has instructions for connecting Outlook, as does GoDaddy.
Yes, but POP will keep the emails on your local machine until you delete them locally. With POP, you can opt to delete them off the server when you get them with Outlook, or leave them archived on the server. I'm sure I covered this in the video. With IMAP, whatever you do in Outlook, also happens on the server.
