How to adjust CARVER CX / C5 trucks to GRIND - ASMR TUTO Surfskate 

Some brands produce kingpins specifically designed for inverted installation: They don't have the usual hexagonal head but come with a flathead for allen keys - if I remember correctly the guy who soon would found _Grindking Trucks_ came up with the idea initially, but there are other companies offering such kingpins as well. However, I wouldn't have expected inverting the original standard kingpin to make any difference here, but I was obviously wrong - thanks for pointing out this quick and easy solution which saves the few crucial millimeters and reduces the risks of hang-ups considerably without having to spend any additional money with only a wrench required. I even think that it wouldn't be a problem to grind down the hexagonal head a bit to get it even more compact. Thanks and greetings from Berlin!

I was running smaller wheels and getting stalled by the bolt on nose manuals. So I used a regular top bushing, and shortened the bolt even further (actually cut a 1/4" off it). Also, you can buy a pan head replacement that tightens with an Allen key, if you want to go as low as possible. The thing to be aware of is Carver's tendency to back off the bolt or nut, do to the twisting action of the hanger, and straight on position of the pin. I'm using blue Loctite, and that seems to work for now. But you can use Teflon tape, or even drill and tap a set screw for the bolt, if it's really bad.

Nice video. I've tried to remove my kingpin with a hammer but it didn't move at all. Maybe i should hurt harder but i'm afraid to definitely kill the kingpin filters. Anyone had similar issues ?

Do you ever have any issues with the bolt coming lose!?!? I’ve turned mine around and it come lose some times.

Mmmm.. be careful.. you don't see how far the nut is , if you want to make further adjustments later on... Make sure the plastic thread on the nut is all the way in

How did you get the Kingpin loose? You don't show that. Mine is stuck..

Did you hit it out with a mallet or something?
