A quick step-by-step tutorial that shows you how to adjust the Isofit headgear compatible with all optrel hoods. The IsoFit comes standard with the Panoramaxx series. For more information, visit Optrel on the web at www.optrel.us.
Have to say this head gear looks super complicated and appreciate this vido breaking it down! I have a Speedglas hood and the head gear doesn't fit A1. Hope to try this setup on an Optrel sometime soon! Great video though. Love the pov shot to even help for the visual learners out there 😉 not a bunch of technical jargon. 🙏💯
We're glad you like the video and hope it demystifies the Swiss Air for you. The system itself isn't complicated but totally understand that PAPRs can appear complicated. If your local distributor doesn't have one in stock for you to try on, request that they get one. We also have a 2-day trial you can take advantage of. Check it out here: optrel.us/product/swiss-air-free-trial/
@@OptrelUS Wow! Thank you for the fast reply! Never expected anyone to get back so fast from such a large professional company. Speaks volumes that you guys care about the customer and supplying their needs and wants! Definitely hope to win the giveaway to have one for myself. I tried out my weld instructor's hood (Optrel Crystal 2.0) and was by far the clearest view with any hood for performing tig welding. Thanks again for the fast reply and leaving me feel valued! 🙏💯💯
Neat! Thanks for the video. I have two hoods….one at work, one at school. I need to get one for me to use at home now that I was able to finally FINALLY purchase my own welder. We might possibly will have to eat Ramen for the next year but I will be able to help some local farmers. Anywho, I will go check out the specs and weight and such.
Drew - thanks for your comment. One of the best ways to get Optrel products in stock is to ask your distributor to carry them. Where are you located, I can see if there's an Optrel distributor near you.
You missed the part that determines how close the adf suits to your eyes. That little green knob that slides back and forth. You touched it right at or right after 3:00 Also I was wondering what those light gray zip tie head looking things are. Two sets of two on one side and the other.
Hi Eric - thanks for your question. The best way to clean your optrel hood is with a soft cloth. Avoid strong cleaning agents, solvents, alcohol or anything containing an abrasive. If the ADF is dirty you can use a lens cleaner or wipe - something suitable for optics. If your lens is scratched or damaged, that should be replaced.
So is there a purpose for those 2 sets of vertical fins on the back of the headgear? Every time someone takes a good look at my hood, they ask about that and I cannot figure out what it's for if anything
Just got a panorama clt... You cannot make the sides of the headhear feet "deeper" over the top of hear head. HUGE DESIGN MISTAKE for a hood that msrp's for almost $700. Every other headgear available allows you to adjust this. I'm having to buy a second headgear to keep the hood from easily coming off my head when opening the hood.
How do I keep the knows from loosening, I set the tension and then after opening and closing 2-3 times it's loose. I had a same knows on my vegaview but I've never had this problem with it.
I just bought the Panoramaxx CLT and tinkered with the ISOFIT for what seems like forever. It just doesn't work for me, going to have to shell out more money for the standard headgear.
He says I’m going show you how to adjust the headgear there’s adjustments in the front, back, and both sides and that’s it, mine I can tighten it to the point of it breaking, and if I bend my head down or look up the helmet wants to slide of my head, his video was no help.
