Thanks for the great video!! I just did mine and was terrified, despite working on several engines for years. Looks like a I got it right. My problem was with hot starts. I didn't have a torque wrench that would fit, so I guessed at the torque by setting the nuts at "good and snug." I was super relieved when you mentioned that the exhaust valve clearances are usually the culprits. Same here! Both intakes had nice drag. The exhausts had no drag. I used a 0.08 mm gauge which matches your imperial size. Thumbs up (Liked) for you, sir. Thanks again!!
Dont loosen the bolt that much and used the score marks on that Cam to see that you are not moving it. Keep in mind that lawn mower valve springs are not very strong so its easy to drive in a larger gap gauge and think you have slight drag between rocker and valve stem
Nice video. Thank you. A couple of questions as I’ve never done this. 1. What was purpose of screwdriver in spark plug hole on cylinder 1? 2. Did you replace seal on Cylinder 2? Any tips or cautions on doing this? I have an fx801v, but am guessing it’s very similar. Thanks for showing his procedure with engine attached to chassis. Really useful.
