Learn how to correctly adjust your Amia chair to fit you. Amia provides optimal comfort thanks to its hidden LiveLumbar support system in the back of the chair.
Well I found a QR code in the arm of the chair and now I'm here... our office has these for all of our desks. I've been using it for about 2 months and like it! I have a very long torso so appreciate that the arms and lumbar go higher than most. The movable arm rests let me scoot in close to my desk.
Amia has slightly thicker padding on the seat pad. Leap has several steps of seat recline stop points, where as the Amia only has fully upright or recline. Both have back tensioners, seat depth adjustment, and 4d arm rests. The leap's bottom seat slightly moves forward when you recline backwards, the Amia does not. The Amia has a softer lumbar support adjustment that covers more of your back, the leap's lumbar support is a tad more aggressive. And the leap has one more lower back firmness adjustment dial that the Amia does not. Both are extremely heavy chairs for their size that can throw your back out if you aren't careful moving them. Both chairs can feel very similar. I have a leap v2 at home and an Amia for the office, my wife at 5ft also likes the Amia I got her.
Thanks for the video. I finally figured out that the knob at the front adjusts the seat angle tension (allowing you to lean back). It would still be useful for the chair to have a seat tilt so that it doesn't feel like I'm falling out of the chair, even through the height is at 90 degrees. This chair has less features than some other ergonomic chairs such as Ergocentric, but is good enough if you are like me and spend half the day in another lab.
This chair is terrible for bigger people. Back pain started developing in less than 2 hours. Glad i was able to save my old chair before it got tossed.
Hi, We're so sorry to hear the Amia didn't work out for you. We hope you took advantage of our flexible return policy. Let us know if we can help you with any questions about choosing another option. Thanks!
sadly i have to be in the chair 10 plus hours a day- i doubt if DST is going to get rid of them. I hope they fired the person who made the purchase, though.
Not gonna lie, I disagree. I’ve had this chair for a couple years and it’s solid. Comfortable enough to sit in for long periods of time, and hardy enough to withstand some abuse when I’m gaming.
