thank you for the videos. Just adjusted my cowlings and changed out my windscreen. Your instructions are easy to follow and the tips (put a cloth down to protect the paint) are amazingly logical.

very helpful have watched several of your videos all were great. Yamaha should take your videos and put them on a disc and give them out with the bike. the manual is very confusing at times.

In the open position heat that is usually drawn down towards the rider's legs is instead deflected out and away from the rider, makes riding in protective clothing on hot days a lot more bearable. Most people make the opposite assumption, it's a shame Yamaha's manual is so vague on the function of these panels.

I actually do the opposite. In summer I open the cowls. It actually diverts air from the front onto my thighs, cooling them and helps heat get out of the sides and not on my feet. In winter I find the closed position better.

Yes that is correct, he has it backwards, and it makes a huge difference in the summer

Hey Zeth..I didn't find much difference in heat transfer but there is a bit more airflow directed away from your legs..helps a bit but I don't notice any significant change
