Finally, you tell a little about the machine instead of sewing back and forth on the same piece of leather on all the machines. Finally, some useful information.!

I am going to subscribe here because this is a great video!!! Could you make another one some day teaching us what to do if our machine skips a stitch once in a while? I think my needle may have gotten sticky from the glue I am using to bond leather together. Thanks for the info Bro!!! The Very Best YOU Are!!!!

Possible Cause 1): Lost timing Solution: Re-timing the machine Possible Cause 2): Thread tension is too tight Solution: Correct thread tension Possible Cause 3): Needle is bent or burred Solution: Replace needle Possible Cause 4): Needle is wrong size Solution: Check needle size Possible Cause 5): Needle and thread does not match Solution: Use proper thread or needle Possible Cause 6): Thread take-up lever has not been threaded Solution: Check threading Possible Cause 7): Light pressure on presser foot Solution: Increase foot pressure Possible Cause 8): Incorrect setting of needle Solution: Check needle setting Possible Cause 9): Material overlapped (cross seams/transversal seams, thickness of material changed suddenly) Solution: Use specialized presser foot

Great video! Do you have any base line settings as a starting point for the thread tension? Factory settings?

Thank you for a very well explained video on how to adjust the machine. I like to ask you about the balance between the tension from the two tensioners. If I need 45 oz of tension to be used out of primary tensioner, then I would set the pre tensioner to 15 oz, so the primary tensioner would add the remaining 30 oz of tension. So as a rule of thumb the pre tensioner makes 1/3 of the tension for normal used bonded thread. Do you think this is about right?

@HightexHeavysewingtechnology 4 года назад
It is difficult to set a clear specification, the thread tension will depend on many factors, such as thread type (cotton thread, Nylon thread, bonded polyester threads etc), leather type and leather needle type. You just need to adjust the needle thread tension and bobbin thread tension, to reach the best balance. Usually easy to get thread tension balance on heavy material, and not easy to get balance when stitch thin leather by thick thread. If you need any help, please contact our local dealer. Where are you from?

I recently purchased the Artisan turbo 3200. The cowboy looks almost exactly like my Artisan. The Artisan has a small but powerful motor mounted on the table as well as the speed adjustment, as apposed to under the table as well as the speed control. Do they have the same manufacture and do you know is parts interchangeable.

Artisan turbo 3200 is same to CowBoy CB3500, all parts of these 2 leather sewing machines is interchangeable. You can see the video of CB3500 leather stitching machine here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iwZceazJCXs.html

Any idea why a machine might be skipping stitches? Mine randomly misses picking up the bobbin thread resulting in a skipped stitch and an uneven appearance and I can't figure out why
@HightexHeavysewingtechnology
@HightexHeavysewingtechnology 8 лет назад
Many reasons may cause skipped sttich, for example: Lost timing, Thread tension is too tight, Needle is bent or burred , Needle is wrong size, Needle and thread does not match, Thread take-up lever has not been threaded, Light pressure on presser foot , Incorrect setting of needle, Material overlapped (cross seams/transversal seams, thickness of material changed suddenly)
