I ned your help urgently!!..I Changed a Turbocharger on my 2004 B3 Passat with a refurbished one, It Went off,so I decided to use a second hand One almost 2months now But 2day it Showed signs of a bad turbo as its emmitting White Smoke, please advise me on Why the car is damaging the turbochargers.. Welcome back, please dont knee down on your seats. The heatingfoil will get broken or your passenger present sensorfoil . That can be a lot of Work . Your simple Fix is sadly just fixing a symthom, but not the Fault which is 90 % a stuck rear Caliper on the left side. Your rear Left Caliper will not free the Disc completely, so it will get very hot and kill your Brakepads. Before you adjust a VW Parkbrakecable , you have to check if each lever on the rear calipers is completely disengaged . Often they get stuck in the locked position and cause Bad brakepads. Yep like comment above pull cables replace and pads minimum, been out of balance so long the pads will be worn different each side. Then you set up each caliper before finally adjusting the nut to get the 2 to 4 click engagement.
