Trivia: Did you know the Husky logo is the image of open sights of a rifle as you would be looking at them to shoot? Husky started making guns.

They started in Sweden very early with muskets. Husq Varna means Mill House. My bike was assembled in Italy in the Gajiva factory. Now Husqvarna is assembled in Austria with Gas Gas, KTM and Husaberg. BMW owns them all since late 2022.

KTM AG (Parent company to KTM, Gas Gas and Husky) is not owned by BMW. Pierer Mobility owns 98.2% of KTM AG. and an Indian Company owns a large percentage of Pierer Mobility. BMW AG has no ownership or connection to any of KTM AG or it’s brands.

I bought that "MoTool Slacker V4" sag adjusting electrons set up, and it is very nice for a one guy operation. The unit has a pretty strong magnet to stick to the axle face, but after putting the bike back on the stand, (where you zero out the display) it was reading 1 or 2mm, so something moved on me. I am very careful taking it off and on the stand so it does not move, but I always get that little bit of error. Lastly, I put a piece of double sided sticky tape between the magnet and the axle, and that seems to work better, with a max of 1mm error. Close enough. That is a nice tool, and really a must if you are doing it alone.

great info. what's the relationship between spring rate and rebound damping? e.g., would installing heavier spring necessitate more rebound damping?

Great question! I would like to know as well.

Yes I believe it would, because we’re mostly considering when the bike is periodically de-weighted between bump hits or jumping; so rider weight isn’t there to counter the spring force in those moments. If original rebound valving is set up to control the force of a lighter spring then yes a heavier spring force would definitely require more robust damping to control it properly! Good question!

Oops, 12:07 I see the chain is too lose. Axle has to go back. Sag changes. :)
