How to Aim Projectiles with the Cursor in Minecraft 1.16.4 

I was doing this at first with armor stands (I prefer those over clouds) and I decided to use this method instead to limit the total amount of entities that exist in the world. Data storage is much more internally efficient than using entities. Also, scoreboard math is always required. Simply setting the position to the motion of the arrow is unreliable because it changes based on where you are in the world. You need to get the difference between the arrow's position and your own, which requires scoreboard operations!

@@conure512 no you don't need operation with my method 😉 execute rotated as @s positioned 0 0 0 run summon ^ ^ ^1 This command get the rotation of the player, remove the pos of the player in this operation and summon the area at one block in the direction you are facing! And since this is at 0 0 0 The position of the area is always the motion you need to give to the arrow ! The only entity you need is an area to use the ^ ^ ^ and get the result (Sorry for my bad english, i'm french)

@@_RedCoal_ Ah yes, I see what you're saying. One small issue though - there's no guarantee that the block at 0 0 0 is going to be loaded. If the chunk isn't loaded, the entity will be lost as soon as it's summoned and the rest of the function won't be able to pull data from it. I suppose a workaround would be to forceload the center chunk, but at the end of the day I don't think that would be any more efficient than the method I already used. And, like I said, it's always best to avoid summoning more entities whenever possible, which is why I used storage slots instead.
