It is of course. But if you tell your employer you have mental health issues, will he consider you fit for the role? Mental health is also a health condition. So generalize it. Say you were forced to take time off due to medical conditions and now you have fully recovered and eager to get to work. It's not really what you say. It's the way you word your answers that's making the difference. Sound as if you are assuring your employer that he can trust spending on you and you can handle everything in this job role . Just be confident.😊
do we all agree that there are times that we're becoming like robot when answering questions due to tough interview where they require a perfect answer.?

.. "Why do you have a two year gap in your resume? ..." "Well .. there really wasn't technically a gap in "working", I was working for the state for slave wages, but I did become an expert in perfectly producing license plates ..."
you must sound genuine, your messages should be brief and concise enough, else you will sound like Chatur Ramalingam, HRs are smart and can easiely detect a professional yapper. fluency in english itself won't make you good at communication. you have to present yourself as a productive person, how productive you are for the company. no body really cares what are your personal issues company needs a fit candidate, they have 100s of candidates waiting outside the door, so you must present them a good enough reason. always present yourself as mentally fit and energetic person.

Do u think the recruiters even ask reason for the gap ?? In my experience, whenever someone say there was a career gap, the immediate response from recruiter is "sorry we can't hire you"
