Looks like what I need for my black paper flat roof that gets so hot by evening time the heat works it was thru the roof and heats the house up more at night.

I would stay away from any coatings that are rubberized, they form a rubber skin layer and it traps moisture between itself and the roof surface. You end up with bubbles as well.
In our experience, this is not true as long as the roof system is fully dry before application. This is why we recommend a moisture survey before coating.

Would this work on a residential house as a monolithic reflective underlayment, beneath a metal roof? (With proper venting spacers of course) If so, could it also be used as a monolithic reflective flashing beneath exterior siding?
Karnak 298 has a 5 year warranty so you probably have to re-apply every 5 years. There are other products out there some of which last longer and some which last shorter.

It will fill slight depressions and holes, but those areas should be addressed with mastic or flashing cement, such 19 Ultra or KarnaFlex before applying the 298 coating
It contains aluminum paste usually 3lbs per gallon of paste. I've used this product from another manufacturer it reflects awesome. I've sprayed thousands of gallons of this stuff and you can feel it reflect the sun back at you it will give you a sunburn extremely fast. It works great.
Yes, if the black coating is asphalt based, it is presumably compatible - but an adhesion will be required to determine its compatibility. See our website for adhesion test instructions.
This product, 298 Alumin-R is highly rubberized and wears much slower than the 97. The 298 will last around 10 to 12 years, while the 97 lasts around 5 to 7 years before recoating should occur. Actually no! At a coverage rate of 1.5 gallons per 100 square feet, you would get 667 sq ft of coverage. At 2 gallons per 100 square feet, you would get 500 sq ft of coverage. So, you would need at least 3 5 gallon buckets tocover 1000 square feet.
Can this be applied over peel and stick SBS roofing? Asking cause a contractor told me painting actually hurts the products effectiveness of breathing and dispersing heat.
The short answer is yes. The longer answer is after the existing peel-and-stick material has been installed and cured for the appropriate time as per the manufacturer. Usually that requires weathering over one season at least.
This is slightly less reflective than our white coatings (for example our Acrylics, 501, 505, 529, and 535 - our Silicones, 670LS and 670 HS), but still highly reflective. You would choose this aluminum coating to save time and money - as this product requires only one coat, as opposed to the white coatings which require multiple coats of the product. You may also aluminum if you prefer the silver look aesthetic-wise.
