How to Apply Acrylic Nails on Yourself

Thank you Yung Hunty for mentioning that about the filing time. Yes, they are alittle thick - Especially when doing the harder hand, it's better to be thick and file into the shape your looking for, rather than too thin - it's too hard to apply 'just right'. Now with my good hand - I can do my whole hand in 15 mins. that's Prep/Application/Filing/Polish. But that is with alot of experience. If you notice in the video I commented that it MAY take YOU ( the viewer) 30 mins , it was just a suggested time frame - Creating your OWN nails is rather difficult - in fact doing nails at all takes a lot of practice and alot of earned skill. Must feel so unfair to the poor prominent hand. It's the one with all the skill that does all the work, yet always looks second best. While the other hand barely lifts a finger, yet gets to look pampered and pretty. Like the spoiled little sister. On another note, I bet that in the nail world, ambidextrous nail techs are akin to superheroes.

I wish I had you as my teacher. My nail school was a complete waste of over $5000. They didn't teach us anything I didn't already know. We def didn't go in depth about acrylics or gels. The nail teacher was only there once a week and every other day they just had us working on their clients doing the same pedis and manis over and over again. There was never anyone there to teach us. I basically paid THEM to work for THEM for FREE!! I've never been so disappointed in all my life. I have no idea how to do anything. Students would complain constantly. The one thing I wanted to learn more than anything was acrylics and I've done one freaking set in school and something happened with the tips because two of them came off after two days. I have NO idea how. I did everything I was supposed to. It took me 4 and a half hours to do that set so for them to just come off in a few days just broke my heart. Thank god it was just a student who was trying to help me so she understood. I graduated like 4 months ago but I wont take my boards yet because I'm worried I wont pass. I'm seriously depressed about all of it. I learned way more on RU-vid than I did at school. Freaking bull...

I LOVE your channel its so helpful for me because I'm a senior in highschool and I have to do a huge senior project and I decided to do mine on nail tech and becoming a nail technician I always get compliments on my nails but I've never worked with acrylic before you make it look effortless I like that you don't just make videos of different designs or sets of nails you've done there's variety in your videos and I loveeeeeeeeeee that you give so many great tips in every video it'll he very helpful for me in the long run

On your playlists, I often find myself hunting, hunting, hunting to find a video for what I need. Could you (in your non-existent spare time! LOL) possibly re-categorize the videos? For example: the very, very basic instruction videos for absolute babes in the craft on one, another on "tools of the trade" and how to use/care for them as well as how to set them up a home DIY nail station, the various media used in nail art (gel/acrylic, glittery gel/acrylic, gel polish vs "regular" nail polish & mix/match them, etc., etc., etc.; to more easily find precisely what a person is looking for. I absolutely LOVE this channel. I've learned more here in just a few months than I'd learned in years! before. Thank you SO much for doing this!
