How to apply adhesive peel and stick wallpaper AND water-activated wallpaper 

When I did my water based wallpaper I used a paint tray with water and a paint roller to wet the back of the paper. It worked really well for me. Love your channel

I saw a bubble removal technique for peel and stick, they took like a sewing needle and poked several tiny holes into the bubble, and then the air in bubble was able to escape that way and then there was no more air bubble 😊 now I have yet to try this technique but just thought I’d share

I've been hearing a little about the peel and stick. I'm interested in trying it. I've done water base. Which I love doing. We never paint first. We always use a wallpaper primer. Makes it super easy to remove down the line. I don't know if you can use it with the peel and stick though. It's best to put it in the tub to wet it or a wallpaper pan. Then you block the paper by folding it over in one third on one side then the other third on the other end. Then one more time in the middle. Let it rest for a couple of minutes then place it up. You will find this method makes it even easier to apply and move around. Plus less shrinkage on some. No need to remove tiny bubbles. They will dry flat. Big bubbles should be smooth out. I love the paper you picked! Can you tell where and the name. I live in a 1960 house with a pink bathroom. This would look great in mine. No I'm not changing it. The tile is back in style and is really nicely put on. As in get a jackhammer on. I love putting up one sheet, stepping back and ahhhhh. Second sheet up, step back and ahhhh. After my two ahhhh's I can finish. Yours Looks lovely. Now add some pink flamingos. Lol Ow, one more thing, I love your flooring! (Removing wallpaper add hot water with white vinegar. Spray on and under. Breaks down the adhesive. ) I realize this is long. Sorry but I have questions. Does The peel and stick work like contact paper? Is it heavier then contact paper. And next how well does it hold up with the steam in the bathroom? (I always make a level mark for my first sheet. Just a small suggestion. ) Please do not take my comments as being mean or criticism. Just trying to give you some added suggestions. I did wallpapering as a side job for many years. I loved doing it. Have you ever tried removing to change out the peel n stick? I'm wondering if it rips off the paint down the line. Also where you have the paper by the towel rack. Here's something I learned from a friend. Caulk with a off white around the towel rack. Ta dah. Mistakes disappear. You can do this around windows and baseboards too to make them look smoother.

hi Thanks for video you are very good at your directions. We getting to install some peel and stick even though done many walls with standard paper so familar with that product. Peel and stick new opportunity to try. The single wall has older wall paper in that wall. So my question is: So should kitz the wall first or just clean and apply the peel and stick direct to wall. I felt so bad for you when you kept having to take it off and restick it🙄seems like a big pain in the butt for crooked walls which is what I have of course lol. Way to go for hanging in there! You've inspired me to get started on my wallpaper for the island and the backsplash for the kitchen. where did you purchase the wallpaper in the kitchen?. I love wallpaper and have been doing it for many years, but I am hesitate using the peel and stick. I like the water based wallpaper because you can manage it better on the wall in terms of shifting if needed, Great Job...New subscriber

24:45 *Note: YOU may not be "off" at all. One thing I learned from a carpenter is it's not uncommon for ceilings and walls to be off. So, we may have something accurately level but cannot know the ceiling is perfectly level.

My mom and I are going to re-decorate my bedroom. She said we could use wallpaper to redecorate. We live in a 112 year old farmhouse and I think it will look great. But neither one of us has ever done it before. Since we’ve never done it before do you suggest we do the water base wallpaper. Because it would be easy to adjust it. Or do you think the peeling stick would be easier.

I have heard horror stories about stick and peel loosening off the wall and causing issues. Can you use wallpaper glue along with a stick and peel for additional lasting adhesion? Thanks

Help please....... seems like I don't have much luck with wall paper or i'm not doing it right. I bought back splash stick on wall paper for my kitchen it in the beginning it's beautiful but a few weeks goes by it started to come off. I tried putting all kinds of glue on it but still wont stick. I end up peeling it off. So maaaaadddddd. I want to put wall paper in my bedroom. I got it up and the next morning it started coming off again. I could use paint but paint has no pattern. :( Can I add glue to the peel and stick wall paper to make it stick ?

You should’ve removed the towel rack then screwed it back on over the wallpaper.

FIRST YOU NEED TO HANG A PLUMBLINE! You cannot trust the side of a shower wall, the edge of a door jamb or a corner in your room - they will always be crooked and you’ll end up with crooked wallpaper. Next, remove ALL wall decorations, nails, outlet and switch covers, hooks, racks, etc. Then start the Peel and Stick or Paste Wallpaper, whichever one you have chosen. IMHO, I would never try the Peel and Stick because it’s extremely difficult to hang. She’s obviously done this before but even she had difficulty with it.

YOU NEED A PLUMB LINE! And, of course, you CAN & MUST remove towel racks, outlet covers, mirrors... Why do this at all, if you’re not going to do it right? Poor example for a how-to video. This should be titled Wallpapering with the Clueless Crafter.
