Hi! I wanted to let you guys know that after I've applied the eyeshadow from ABH called FAWN, I did apply another one, also from ABH, called Hot Chocolate. I forgot to click "record" so I don't have that part filmed. But Hot Chocolate I've applied exactly the same way I did with Fawn. with the same MAC 221 brush. I just wanted to make the look a bit darker, but you don't necessarily have to do that. On the lower lash line I've applied the same colors I did on the mobile lid, in the exact same order. Very sorry for the inconvenience! Hope you guys like the video and that you find it helpful. ❤️
Thank you so much, don't worry the video still helpful and great. I always suffer with the outer corners of my eyes. But in general I'm improving because of you. I always remember everything you said while I'm doing my make up. ... love u so much
Ali Andreea please everybody is talking about nose and face contouring but no one explain how to contour a large or hight forhead , can u do a one please .
Thank you for getting back to basics. Could you perhaps do a video on what colours suit different eye colours best ie what makes them pop. I always stay neutral which can be a bit boring sometimes. Also blusher, what colour for skin tone and also when wearing different shades of lipstick ie when wearing a red lip what colour blush is best? 😊
Yes I agree with all of the above. Sometimes I'll do my eyes really well then apply blusher and the blusher clashes with my eyes which is very frustrating!
Dear Andreea, is it possible to explain the step with the eyeshadow on the lower lashline? Is it really important? Does the eye make up work without that step? Thanks ❤
You are absolutely stunning and have changed the way I look at make up and how I feel about wearing make up now that I've hit my late 30s. You really have given me so much confidence through watching your tutorials. AMAZING!!
I need help creating looks. I want to use all of the beautiful shadows I own but I struggle knowing what pairs well with what. I want to use color and I want to use it well!! Great video. Thank you!! 💜
That is way I always tend to use just one eyeshadow over a lid and that is it usually a neutral one like cream and no eyeliner I suck at eyeliner it never looks good on me,so J gave up on it.
colour matching is my problem too, especially when you add lipstick in the equation! a friend just told me that eye and cheeks where working together, bit the lipstick was not working with them at all. so. my luck is having true frinds, but still I have no clue why those colours where not going together!
@@caterinapuddu6679 I got the point yes me too I have the same problem if I find a blush then it clashes with the lipstick or with eyes and vice and versa the best is not to use make up at all haha ,well I try some matte light bronzers I think that guerlain has some ...I can not seem to find it at drugstore but I think that light bronzer goes with everything which is not the case with a blush ...also for eyes use some neutral bronzey colours or sth with an eyeliner for instance and for lips personally I like mauve and pinks sth like that.
@@caterinapuddu6679, if you're having a problem with blush and lipstick not going well with eyeshadow, just use neutral eyeshadow colors. And NO dark lipstick. If you want more dramatic colors, just make sure the undertones are the same and everything should look great together.
I think I missed the 3rd colour......suddenly you went from saying use the same colour to intensify the edges to suddenly having colour under your eye and blending them out!!! 😖
Hello girl if you have hooded eyes go and see dilan sabah makeup tutorials ...she is an amazing makeup influencer ...and tells you tips for that you need 😊
This was great have these colors and will them in a 4 palette now❤️❤️would love to a video on what colors suit different skin tones like either warm or cool colors! ❤️
Hi Andreea You makeup tips are amazing A BIG REQUEST shoe foundation for INdian Skin tone I am very fair for Indian skin colour but have yellowish fair skin and now have vitiligo which is not nice but last 1 year i have it my makeup cover sit but not looks best can you guide ?
This is such a good video whenever I did eyeshadow everything just blended into one weird color it never transitioned but now it looks really good. I feel like with these deep dives you learn so much
This is so helpful since my eyes are deep set- and I tend to feel like I can’t add to much color for fear that it will make my eyes look sunken in. Thank you!
I love you! I can't wait every time you post a video to watch it until the end. From you a have learned a lot. You were ,, my trainer" without knowing it. Thank you! ❤
I really struggle with building the eyeshadow shape on my eyes. Sometimes it goes far out of my outerconer and it looks sharp. Not natural enough and sometimes I try to control the distance of that but it looks round which makes my eyes look too deep or quite obvious that I applied eyeshadow.
This is exactly my everyday makeup look. I don't have much time in the morning right before going to work so I do this whenever in doubt. You can never fail with this kind of makeup. You look gorgeous and fresh as always :)
Hi Andreea, would you recommend other eyeshadows that would give a similar effect? I have discovered you fairly recently. Love your work! You are a true makeup educator! These eyeshadows are nowhere to be found and I love the look!
I can’t apply it so focused like you . I have hooded eyes . When I’m using the same brushes like you in the video my eyelid is totally full with the eyeshadow. Because I don’t have so much space and to much skin there . Maybe you have an answer . I have the impression that the brushes are all too big for my eyelid . 🤷♀️
I just love your tutorials. You are just so beautiful, and you really know your stuff! I’ve seen a lot of makeup tutorials, and I’ll take yours anyway over anyone else’s! Please keep posting! Thanks for all your great videos!!! 🤗
I struggle with color selection, and applicaiton. I never knew how and there are so many videos out there,, most are confusing. But You are AMAZING! I did go to buy new makeup to try an evening look that you demonstrated.
Thank you for the tutorial! As always fantastic. I struggle finding eye shadow colors that fit blue eyes and does not make my skin look reddish. Would love to hear your suggestion on what transition color etc. you could recommend. I am not so much into the brown colors....
Hi Ali! Could you create a video on how to apply eyeshadow on deep-set eyes? I really struggle when it comes to something more sophisticated than no-makeup makeup look. I think a lot of ladies would agree with me on this one :) Thank you!
Easy peasy lemon squeezy 😋 It seems so easy when YOU are doing this, but when I am trying by myself.....ohh girl, it's so difficult! 😂😂😂 I'm still hoping that someday you'll move to US so I can take some beauty classes from you 😋
Great video! I always struggle with the outer corner-getting that nice < > with the shadow. It always ends up more broad/diffused, and I wonder if it's just the shape of my eyes that lend themselves to that.
Thank you for this. I always struggle with the lower lash line ...i never seem to get it right. An in depth tutorial about matching it with the lid make up and how to not make it look like u got punched in the eye would be amazing. Xx keep up the good work! You re gorgeous
I have eye shadow palettes like Tarte call of the wild, Urban decay Naked 2, Too Faces semi sweet chocolate Bar, the Balm Nude’ tude ans some of makeup geeks but I don’t know how to use them. I like neutral eye makeup something that matches my skin. I am a medium skin tone black woman and that’s one of my makeup frustrations.
Hi Andreea! I have trouble with the outer corners. Sometimes I see people create sort of a sideways “v” shape and I always have trouble with that. I also have trouble finding out how to choose color combinations and whether to put the bright (standout) color on the crease or the lid. Thank you as always for being you and sharing your knowledge, tips and tricks. You are such a beauty inside and out. 💕💕💕
Lindsay Stukey It really deppends. There is no rule, really. If I have a model I would use one single eyeshadow with bright color all iver her eyelid. On me that looks horrible! Don't be affraid to try!
Thank you so much Ali. I love your personality and sense of humor. My mother never taught me how to do my makeup so I had to teach myself, your tips are really helpful. Thank you!
Beautiful! I struggle with knowing which brush to use per application area or color, and fallout even with very nice designer shadows. Since I have fine lines, I dont like using a lot of white powder under the eye to protect the area from fallout. And how do you get a smooth finish? How can mature ladies avoid lids looking crepy? Thank you for your fabulous teaching posts. Gorgeous and talented!
I love your tutorials, especially the eye make up. However being in my 60's, (yes we still love make up at our age), would really appreciate tips for application onto an older skin, especially the eye area. Many thanks, Caroline
Mercie beaucoup for taking the time to explain us step by step how to do this basic look. Please make a second part explaining how do you blend one eyeshadow into the other without leaving harsh lines, but please don't cut off the blending process that's what we want to see, all beauty gurus assume that we know what to do, but I don't know when should stop blending until my eyeshadow looks muddy, please show us how to fix mistakes like over blending or harsh lines, how to do the outer V, what techniques are better to people with hooded eyes, droopy eyes, small eyes, etc. I'd love if you to do a third one for a night look step by step, please.
I have problems doing my outer corner. I have hooded eyes and I try to follow your advice to go more up instead of down to keep the eyes open. When I try, it just looks like I failed trying to doing a smokey eye. Even with the lightest colors. I love watching your videos!!! And listening to you! I just wish I could do my outer corner better.
I cannot fine ABH Gleam and Fawn shades, what would be another alternative colors in ABH and what would be a good alternative for the transition color in ABH. I'm trying to create a four color palette from ABH for this look. THANKS!
I would like to learn how to keep the inner part of the eye lighter and brighter but without frost or shimmer 😕 Thank you so much for such detailed tutorials
Try the Jaclyn Hill Palette she included 2 shades that you can use to highlight that area and the brow bone without shimmer or glitter. I hope that helps
I'm a new subscriber! I'm so glad I found you😊 I'm looking on the site to purchase the beautiful ABH shade you mentioned - gleam. I'm not finding it....any suggestions? I see a "glisten" but no gleam. Help!!! 💋
Love this. I’m so frustrated with lower eyeliner. When I use it, it’s either to harsh or I use powder and it disappears. Over 50 and I’m just not sure what to put under the eye...help!!!
Andrea! I’m so happy i found your channel. I’ve been watching your videos the entire quarantine. I struggle applying eye shadow in my under eye to make it look like an eye liner but with eye shadow. I have almond eyes and it usually looks dirty. Also, i feel like my makeup looks empty if i don’t “highlight” my eyes somehow. Hope to see a video on how to accentuate almond eyes with eye shadow 😃
Hi and thank you for your walk through of how you beautifully apply eye shadow. I can’t seem to find one of the eye shadows you recommended - the ABH Fawn. I’m not sure if it is out of production. Can you recommend a substitute for the Fawn? Thank you.
Great video. I’m very inexperienced with makeup and love your tutorials. I am 63years old and have bought cream eyeshadows. Can I apply these in the same way as the powder eyeshadows? I’m anxious that cream eyeshadows will not blend as much. I have a huge family and friends event coming up and I want to get it right.
1) I have no idea how to use all the different eye shadow brushes. I have the eye obsesssed Morphe 12 piece eye shadow brushes 2) I watched your eyeliner winged liner do/don't video - so helpful. Except I still cannot do it on my own face. I try liquid liner, pencil and eye shadow for the "fauxliner". HELP :)
Good morning! I'd like to know if you are aware of the products Charlotte Tillbury (UK based) if you've used it and what your opinion of it is. For over 55 year old make up. Also when is it time to throw out "old" unused make up and replace it? Thanks!
I've just starting watching your videos and love th. I have been looking to see if you have a video dedicated to those to that have freckles but haven't seen one. I'll cross my fingers that you will!
Andreaa, can you please explain which color to put on the lower lash line? (1st, 2nd, or 3rd). I’ve never done this technique before, but would like to try it!! Thanks 😊
Hi - struggling to find the eyeshadows. Anastasia BH doesn’t recognise fawn or gleam and the closest I can find is stone and Vermeer. Also makeup geek seems ti have ceased trading so I am wondering what might be a good dupe for creme brûlée. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Like you were reading my mind! :) I needed this video for what brushes to use. Thank you!! I love your channel, you have great tips for women of every age, I am 52 and your make-up application tips don't make me look foolish. Thank you!!
Hi Ali. I just think your tutorials are awesome, very informative and ‘showcase’ a whole lot of products I would never be able to explore myself. Your comments on the products, allow me to ‘make-up’ my own mind. I realise this video was made two years ago. I have managed to purchase the eyeshadows Fawn and Hot Chocolate, however I am unable to purchase Gleam (ABH) which is a beautiful eyeshadow. I am wondering if you could suggest an eyeshadow close to the colour and texture of Gleam. I would really appreciate a suggestions or suggestions. Please keep making your wonderful tutorials. Take care of yourself, Julie
Beautiful. Beautiful😊😊 Looks so easy. I still don't understand about transition colour and crease colour and blending. Could you please explain what l need in regards to eyeshadow colour. Much appreciated and thank you so much
Hi thanks for your video, Im from Honduras. I struggled with the mixing of colors, I have 252 eyeshadows color palet and I don't have any idea how to take advantage. I enyojed your videos
Such an excellent, detailed video - thank you! Wondering if you would consider showing us videos in other ES application techniques: cream as base, just creams, creams and powders, eyeliner base, adding glitters.....etc. An eyeshadow techniques series. I would love to see these!!! Especially cream applications, as summer is coming and I love creams in warmer weathers...💖
Hello.Fantastic explanation.Thank you so much. I do love the ABH modern reinaissance and many too faced palettes , I tend to use matte colors, not a huge fan of shimmery ones Thanks a lot!!❤
Hi Andreea. I am a new subscriber, love your mix of knowledge and humor. I am 53 years old, my lids are crepy and show texture. Do you have any suggestions on how to apply shadows? Maybe even a full face for those of us older girls. Thank you in advance.
Any recommendations for someone that has very dry wrinkled lids? I’m aging. Lol. I try these looks and techniques and it looks so caked on. Help Andreea!!!
Wow. Are you aware of how incredibly beautiful you are? And for me, beauty is all about proportions of features and bone structure. Your genes are incredible! I hope that when you wake up and pass a mirror, that your beauty gives you as much pleasure as it does to us all. Greetings from a male fan in Cape Town, South Africa.
Hi, I recently subscribed you! I have a question, I have brown eyes like you but with black hairs and eyes brows. What kind of eyeshadows colors should I go with ! I mean as a formal occasion
Andreea, I really enjoyed the video. I wanted to know if you could give several neutral/nude shades for different eye looks for every day. Also, could you give your advice on color and placement for small, hooded and creapy mobile lids. The color Gleam is beautiful on you but I don’t know how that would look on creapy eyelids. Also, what colors would you suggest for the mobile lid based on eye color? Thank you.
Eye shadow from bobbi brown Midnight orchid 3. Do these colours match with brown eyes and deep eyes with big eye cover. I tried it for every day makeup but found it makes me look like a witch with dark silver eyes...which colour to use for daily makeup you would recommend?
Awesome video as always Andreea, so maybe you could do some kind of pretty classy makeup or something?hahaha anyway, i love every makeup look and tips that u do
I have really hooded eyes- ( it’s age sadly!) I can see no mobile lid at all and the “crease” does not exist ! As if that wasn’t enough... I have very sensitive eyes and they water so much, especially when I’m wearing eye make up. What can I do?!
Hello I am trying to get hilighter you used in this video Becca Parishen can’t seem to find anywhere, can it be the same as the Becca Prismatic Amethyst? Thank you ! I love your videos very insightful! 😊
Strangely, the major details seem to be skipped. The video starts, then it's finished, as are your eyes, and we've only seen the very beginning and the end. Not particularly helpful.
In my opinion you are the best. I love the natural beauty looks the most. This video is exactly what I needed. Also, the fact that you respond to the comments your fans leave makes me want to come back to your page. Thank you for being a sweet lady.
