im in the automotive service/ retail business . im currently employed but in the process of leaving to start my own. i have already formed an LLC and received my EIN number im looking for a suitable property to rent/lease for base of operations. i will probably do some mobile services until i find a building. i want to get distributors lined up and start receiving some of the parts and supplies i need. Distributors wont even talk to you unless you show them proof of your sales permit. This is the problem, i dont have a business location so no business address. what address would i use for the tax permit? i been trying to keep my home address separated from anything associated with the business. would it matter much if i used my home address and later changed it. i keep worrying about using my home address on any paper work and forms. i wont be doing any business from my home at all, ever.

I’m have and LLC but considered a sole proprietor because I’m a single member. However the first option is for a sole proprietor (which is the one your demonstrating) but it indicates this option is not for single member LLC’s. So I’m confused. When I obtained my EIN I was considered a Sole Proprietor because I’m a single member even with my LLC. What option should I select when filling out this form. Your help is sincerely appreciated.
