I don't blame 'em. "Oh yeah you should see if you're allergic to henna, I am but idgaf I'm still gonna put it on lololol" That's like being allergic to peanut butter but still eating it every day...
Im not severely allergic to it.. I just wanted to show you guys how to use henna and how beautiful it looks :) I dont mind the itching here cuz i loveeee you guys so much.. and cuz i think it looks so gorgeous
as long as i know pure henna does not give any allergic reaction but the essential oil and chemical used to make henna paste can give you allergic reaction. in that case use only pure henna powder and mix it with water and add either little lemon juice or eucalyptus oil by the way nice tutorial
Im not severely allergic to it.. I just wanted to show you guys how to use henna and how beautiful it looks :) I dont mind the itching here and there since I think it looks beautiful .. and honestly theres no real cultural or religious meaning behind it besides the fact that its used to "beautify" your hands and feet xo
u can buy henna at any indian store.. usually a cash and carry or grocery store and it stays bout 2 weeks depending on how much u wash ur hands or whatever area u put it on.. and khair mubarak!!!
I know that... I was saying that I have red henna, which means I was talking about the color it leaves when it stains, for henna users and those who actually know about henna unlike you say "oh I got red henna," we aren't talking about the color it is when we first get it, we are talking about the staining color. I know all about that ppd stuff and black henna and it smelling earthy. so don't pull that, "I'm smarter than you" thing on me. thanks :)
fathi ahmed She said "henna" not black henna... although she was talking about black henna a few sentences before, she never said she is allergic to black henna she just said "I'm allergic to henna"...
How do you hold a henna cone properly ? Like is it supposed to make your thumb hurt lol >.< cause every time I apply henna my thumb starts to hurt a lot !!!! I've seen a lot of diff people like u hold it differently so can you like tell me how to hold it lolol (sorry if I sound dumb)
its probably someone else's hand bc of the position she is plus there is different types of henna and you don't need to worry I sure she know her skin perfectly well ;)
Wow! I love It! It's taken me forever to figure put what to do once it dries! Noone has been explaining that on their videos.....till NOW! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
Good video, but not very useful. For someone who is a beginner, they're going to be looking for stuff about how to hold and use henna. This is more for after that, when you start using it. :P
I have always been so drawn to hennas, my friend would come to school with the designs on her hand and I think its the most beautiful thing ever! I have to try this one day:) And I'd love to see more:)
I'm Vietnamese and I want to know if it's ok for me to try henna I don't want to come off offensive and I heard some people weren't really sure if it was ok or not. Thank you.
Im a white girl, but if people get offended by this they're being ridiculous. No form of art should be exclusive to one race, nor should other races be excluded. Doing henna is a way of learning about and partaking in other cultures.
Amanda Lu It's important to understand the cultural significance of henna if you're going to wear it. Applying henna is done in various Asian and African cultures for special occasions such as Eid and weddings. Applying henna solely for its aesthetic appeal takes away from its cultural significance and some people find it insensitive. If you're invited to a special event where henna is traditionally worn, then have at it. Participating in other cultures is often welcome. Stripping it of its meaning is not. I hope that helps. :)
Ashley Cinnamon As a white person, you are in no position to tell people of color what parts of their cultures they are allowed to hold precious. Whether or not someone from a culture that does not use henna can use it is a conversation that deserves to be discussed within those communities. You enjoying henna's appeal is fine. However, disregarding it's cultural significance because it's art and you think it's pretty is why people of color are so often irritated with white people such as yourself. To call them ridiculous just illustrates your ignorance. Please continue to educate yourself.
Na'ilah El-Amin Calm down please. What's wrong with wearing henna? Some people take their culture too seriously..... And before you start rattling on, I'm Arab.
Well I've been doing a lot of research on Cultural Appropriation and Henna is very inclusive, anyone can do it and I think that's a really beautiful way to share cultures. It's the same with head scarfs, it's not exclusive to Muslim women, to be honest, I never got why some people are so exclusive about certain things in cultures. It's different if you're wearing a native American headdress at a music festival or something because they are an important part of native American culture and it's being used as a fashion accessory, but someone getting cornrows to me isn't offensive, but of course I'm going to respect their wishes as it is their culture. But I think the main rule is to be respectful and understand what it means to the culture :).
This is gorgeous! I was just wondering, do you have to use white eyeliner for the outline or can it be any colour? probably a daft question but i'm supposed to be doing henna tomorrow on myself and im going to get a couple things in town, so i wanted to know if i should get white eyeliner pencil :)
:) Awesome! I had never thought of using white eyeliner and my flower desings were horrible :P Now thanks to you, I successfully finished it :) Thanks a lot!
Omg omg omg !!! I've been trying to find your page because I was a HUGE FAN ON IG but I got rid of it 😭 I'M SOO HAPPY TO FIND YOUR PAGE AGAIN !! funny to have found your page because of Henna even though I always watched your hair restoration videos on IG
I'm sick of warning people not to go near that nasty unnatural dark henna stuff! I use hennas for myself and my family, free hand. How does it manage to stain the skin if there is white eye liner underneath it? I didn't think that would work. Btw I love your design!
I imagine it would be easier to tell if you have covered that area or not, because if it is black on black there is a higher chance of you missing out a spot without realising. But black should work just as well!
You could use black henna because it wont do anything but if ur probably allergic then u will itch but i have been using black henna my whole life and i am fine. Just wanted to get that off my chest. Thanks!!
It's kind of like being allergic to latex or latex-free gloves that people who are allergic to latex use there are types of Hannah that people are not allergic to. Most people who are lactose intolerant are okay if they eat goat cheese because of cow's milk and goats milk is very different and it's the lactose in cow's milk that most people who are lactose intolerant are intolerant to.....
I use black henna but it's not henna! It's actually Jagua! So it looks more like a tattoo than the brown orange color! So that's a tip I have for those who want a darker color! 😊 I personally love Jagua so much more than Henna!
Don't forget to rub some oil-any kind-over the design as SOON as you wash the henna off-it'll intensify the color and make the design last longer but you need to do it as soon as you wash off the henna!
I really like the white eyeliner technique! Many of my family members are really good at freestyling henna and I always thought it was too hard so I never really tried
There are good suppliers of ready made natural henna paste. A bit more expensive, but much much safer and just as beautiful. Examples of sites in US :. Artistic adornement, hennasook, henna caravan In Canada : hennabee. Otherwise, if you know henna artists, ask if they make their own paste, and ask the ingredients they use. If they use henna oil, it may have harmful chems. Ask what it is made of.
u should actually put oil on your hands and take it off with the oil ( coconut hail oil ) on your hands and then after a few hours wash the oil off thats how its supposed go and the colour on your hand os not jow its supposed to be it should be brown , its not brown cause u didnt apply oil and if you apply oil then by the next day its gets darker
Aaaawww bless You Sister Thank You, this video is most helpful I will subscribe, I sometimes get water bumps, but mostly when I use oily stuff after it stains to keep it dark, but having trouble to draw n want to do bridal or party henna for family and friends ❤
I love henna! How long does Henna last because I've had this tube of henna for 4 years and haven't done anything with it because I didn't know how to use it, but now I want to try it! Would it be okay if I use that Henna or is it TOO OLD? thnx !
how long does henna paste last when you buy it because ive had thus tube of henna lying around my house for four years and i want to know if i can still use it...it's probably expired, right? lol
Are you sure you have used natural henna? A lot of premade cones contain PPD which is bad and usually causes a reaction. It's best to mix your own henna. Even some premade cones have a smaller percentage of PPD but can still cause a sensitivity
aww sweetie i love the henna design. the reason you are reacting is because the cone you are using is not 100% natural henna. it contains harmful illegal chemicals such as ppd. google ppd tatoo images to see what it does to ur skin. henna is a natural plant. please purchase henna cones that are 100% chemical free and safe to use! love the video. the design is very elegant :)
Thank you:) My husband is half Indian and we use a traditional Indian grocer but I have never thought to look for Henna there before but will definitely have a look next time we are there. Your videos are so great, thank you for the time and effort you put into them, I love the ones where you do anything traditional Indian style:)
Which Indian or Pakistani Brand Henna is best for good stain and safety, without costing alot? & is it ok to use black or brown kajal or rimmel eyeliner ? X❤
Hahaha Omgosh BEST beginner henna vid!! (& we ALL make hella Cray faces wen applying make up correctly? I think its next 2 impossible 2 do anything diff!?! ;) you're gorge btw! @the_lizard_queen_420
I LOVE henna smell! If like to see more designs search in Arabic by this word " نقش حنه " and also I like to keep it more time so it comes darker, we keep it 12 hours like whole night :D
Where did you buy your henna from? I've bought mine from both Indian and middle Easter stores like 4 times already and the quality is never good. It's not HORRIBLE but it's definitely not as good as the one you used and I can tell just from how dark it stained your skin immediately and the way it squeezed out so nicely. When it's difficult for me to squeeze it out of the cone, for some reason it never wants to come out smooth. And help would be greatly appreciated (:
U can find henna anywhere in pakistan. We call it "mehndi" as well. Also, why are you using it if ur allergic:O (I just checked: the last comment is 3 yrs ago. Im feeling wierd now)
