Been using this since it was released great product but you used far to much of it you only need 2 or 3 sprays max on the bonnet to get the same results
Great product. During initial application, I used a wet towel to spread the product. Then a dry towel to dry and buff it in. Subsequent, applications I spray only 2 times on each door, fender, quarter panel, 4 times on the roof, hood, and trunk. You get better results with a power washer. The deep gloss is amazing.. the fact that it is so easy to apply will make it easy to put multiple layers. No need to apply hand wax again. It's best to start with a polished vehicle.
Been using this wax for 2 years. Om my 2005 Taurus SE with a 3.0. The color is Merlot red. The more I use the better the protection and shine. Also use this on my 2004 Concorde LXI limited with factory chrome rims. Its white in color. Both cars look fantastic for their ages. Both have over 170,000 miles on them and they sit outside all the time. Wash with Turtle wash Extreme. Then leave wet and wipe car down with the Megiuars Ceramic Hybird wax on a Microfiber sponge. Let sit for 5 minutes then hit whole car with water to activate wax. Wipe dry with a Microfiber towel. Use on windows and chrome rims too. Shawn
Does wetting it down a second time help get the streaks off the glass? I found the glass looked cloudy in a certain light. It drove me crazy, but worked wonders everywhere else.
Yes I found extra passes with the pressure washer helped 'push' the product in. Initial passes with a lower pressure shown up some directionality to the way I'd wiped, ie wiping left to right caused the beading to 'show' this pattern. Higher pressure or extra passes caused the beading to be uniform. This was more easily seen on the glass as the marring reduced with more pressure washer passes
Been using it for 2 years on all my cars. It's so easy to use and the results are awesome. Occasionally I'll have a detailer do one of my cars. His finishing product is Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax. 😊
@@forcedbreathingistyranny696 y You can. And then after you rinse the soap off, apply a small amount of the Ceramic Spray on each panel and rinse again and dry. Works great.

@6:54 Man that is impressive. I mean seriously impressive. I have just purchased some from Costco and am excited about this product. BTW, my car is a Yaris hybrid in Nautilus blue. Been using this on my holden that's daily driven, I've noticed it lasts for so long. I'm in nz too and applied at beginning of summer and it's now autumn and it's still beading like crazy and the car lives outside.
Finnaly got a bottle today, applied it to my mother's car the wet way and did it to my truck a different method. All the windows on my mother ls car got the ceramic stuff and my truck windows got the rainex water repellent so we will see what lasts longer on glass. Very exited to see how long this lasts since I usually use meguiars ultimate spray wax and that stuff doesn't last too long on my truck since I wash usually weekly but it was still on my mom's car today before I stripped it off
For the 2nd layer I always smooth it all over the wet paintwork then rinse off, I think by just squirting the product here and there and then rinsing is wasting most of the product and it's only covering half of the paintwork. Does leave an incredible shine and thats why I use it, quick & easy 🙂
@pennyarizzio2824 You are welcome, I would not suggest using it on glass as it could streak, as for the trims , yes as long as you wipe it off fast. Please consider subscribing to my RU-vid Channel for free if you haven't already.

I did the dry paint method. Spray on to applicator 2 sprays. Wipe on and then wipe off. If you let it set or haze up it's hard to remove dry. I did a full size truck with a painted hard shell bed cover and only used about 1 to 2 ounces for the whole truck. At that rate the bottle should last 2 or 3 years lol.
My own personal usage tip : I dilute the Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax 1:10 with water, then spray it on slightly damp paint. Then I buff it off. I find I waste less of the product this way.
Hi again, thanks for the tip, sounds good but this product is activated by water, that is what makes it bond to the surface, hence it needs to be applied to a wet vehicle. Adding water might make it activate in the bottle.
Good video really helpful.. I am going to caramic coating my car would you say this is one of the best products.. I was going to use auto glym but seeing this video .. I am not sure now
Thanks, each product has its pros and cons . I personally like the Meguiars product better. For the cost I think this represents good value. I have not used the autoglym ceramic coating kit, but that looks like it might be more durable but more expensive. Please consider subscribing to my RU-vid Channel for free if you haven't already.
I sell the application of this to my clients. And I make it very understood OVER a ceramic coating. Price! $4,000 vs every 9 to 12 months I see you again. All of my visits would not equate to $4,000. And the same principle is being applied, water sheeting and beading and uv protection.
Hey buddy 😁 one of my favourite products, here's a great tip, try spraying on a dry surface leveling up with a microfiber then wiping dry. You end up using less product and the results are double as good as the ones you had. Hope that helps, Cheers
Hey Buddy, thanks for the comments. This product is activated by water so it has to be use on a wet car. You do have a good idea though as I have heard some people use it that way , however it may not be leveled.
@@DocMackGarage I've been using this product for ages, the whole water thing is just a gimmick trust me man. Try is like a normal spray on wipe off and hit the 2nd layer an hour later. You'll be set for the whole year
No harm in trying I guess Bud . Will give it a go, but I can't do that in a video and publicize it as it would be not intended the way it was meant to be used. But you do have a point. Cheers
Its okay to use it on dry surface? Ive been using it like that. Wash the car and dry with a drying towel and then spray the wax and laveling with a microfiber and wipe it again with another microfiber.
Hi, it will not strip the existing sealant . If your car is sealed already this product may not show too much difference as you are applying Ceramic over a sealed surface. Please consider Subscribing if you haven't already.
Hi, if you had claybarred and polished the car before applying the product, then you do not need to change microfiber towel to do the sides if the paintwork is the same condition. If your bonnet has a few chips or imperfections, then I would consider changing the towel , as the sides of the car is generally less worn than the bonnet, roof, and trunk . Hi, 1st coat wash the car then after washing leave the car wet, and spray product on and dry. 2nd coat, wash the car, then spray on wet car and rinse and dry.
I found the manual ambiguous. I couldn't tell if it should be applied to a dry car or wet car. I see now it's wet, but the instructions could perhaps be clearer and state explicitly that it's to be applied wet. Had hard work applying and buffing back off. Will see how it holds up
Hi, you will need to spray it on a wet car as it is water activated . If you have a hard time buffing it , spray water on the car then spray one or two squirts then buff dry , should get rid of streaks .
You are welcome Arpan. I can do that at some stage. This product durability will depend on factors such as where the car is parked whether off street or in a garage.
Hi, I would not use this on black trim. It will be fine but may have residue . Glass may smear so try to void it but not harm if it gets on glass. Consider subscribing to my RU-vid Channel for free if you haven't already.
I have tried to use the ceramic hybrid wax and it was awful. I clay'd bar my car, cleaned with soap and water and rinsed and dried. I then applied a layer of your hybrid ceramic wax, buffed it off with a microfiber towel and then wet the car and sprayed on the wax, rinsed it with water and dried with microfiber. There are streaks everywhere, large spots, looks like crap. Worst product I have ever used, I buff and buff and it does not ever stop streaking. Car is not old. How do I get the streaking to stop?
Hi, I think the first area you made a mistake was spraying it dry and buffing. This product is activated by water, if it is dry then it will cause streaks. I would recommend 10 percent IPA alcohol and 90 water mix solution to get rid of the swirls (spray and wipe). The other thing you can do is to polish the car and it should come off.
I thought all you had to do is wash the vehicle and rinse it then before you dry spray the product on the paint 1-1.5 sprays per panel and rinse again.. well thats how I do it as a top coat to my sealer and it is amazing
Hi Denzel, that is what I did. Wash the car , and rinse, then while it is wet I sprayed the product on the vehicle. 1- 1.5 sprays will not be enough for a bonnet unless it is for a fender. People must remember there is a difference between doing it on a new car and a 10 year old car . Consider Subscribing if you haven't already.
This is what I do. The car is wet and clean after a first rinse. Then I spray on each panel while the car is still wet. Then I spray off. Then I apply soap and dry the car off entirely with microfiber towels.

I would say to give the car a wash , then try it and inspect it . If you need go apply it again, wet the car first. Some users are saying dry applications work, but I belive it is dependent on whether it is soft or hard Clear coat . Let me know how you go.
@@DocMackGarage I think some ppl use too much product. I recently ceramic coated my pick up with a professional grade coating and use this to help maintain my finish. @@DocMackGarage I've done it on 3 cars using dry panels. Damp microfibre to spread it and dry to to buff. Came up fantastic. Good review on another channel showing all 3 methods. Dry method had much better durability

Are you plastered lol jk. It really depends on the paintwork. If it is newer paint then yes less product, older paints clear coat takes quite a bit to bond .
Hi George, I applied it approx 80 days ago and it is still quite good but not as good as the first day. Some people might say 6 months worth of durability, but I would take that with a grain of salt. It really depends on where the car is parked and how much mileage you do. With typical usage and it parked in the garage maybe 5 months, and with the car parked off street maybe 3 months. I claybarred the car prior so it lasts longer. Please Subscribe to my channel it is completely FREE. Maybe I might do a 3 month update video soon.
good 3-6 months, depends on weather, mileage and external exposure, and contaminates from the road -- my Outback is outside 24x7x365, and gets washed every few weeks during the spring/summer/autumn, and less so over winter, i just top up the HCW protection every few months to keep it in top shape, and use the HC Detailer to keep glass and light marks off in between washes.

It will your pocket....this shit is a bit expensive to waste it.....so...for this product...yes....it will hurt your pocket.....1 bottle should last you the whole year if apply 3 or 4 times a year....unless you got a war tank
That depends how much it rains....water keep sickening the stuff.....so.....if you got a good 4 to 5 month with only a few showers....you good....where I'm from in cleveland ohio.....from spring to fall.....I apply that 6 times.....on a every 2 weeks or so car wash......winters in here are too cold and snowy.....but that stuff before winter or everytime it get a bit warm.....it make it more easy to clean icy windows and snow from the car
Oh man, you put too much, watch Meguiars video. Great that you do not use pressure water. Great video, I do the same thing and have same results, but I use less product.
I think he means the car needs to be wet, the product misted on (lightly) and hosed off with no pressure from hose. I have the same product, but my instructions are different than this.
That is correct. This is not a polish, it is a ceramic coating/ wax . It can cover up some minor swirls but eventually you will see the swirls if you don't prep your paint before applying. Consider Subscribing if you haven't already 🙂
Wash your vehicle using the two (2) bucket method with a grit guard in the rinse bucket. You would see a massive reduction in swirl marks and scratches in your paint

I found it showed streaks when I tried it. They say you can, but I had terrible luck with it on glass and I was careful not to apply a lot and buffed the dickens out of it. Still had cloudiness.
Thanks for commenting. @@DocMackGarage I just finished detailing my second SUV. On the first one, I applied this to the whole car, glass and all. I used very little, and rinsed immediately, doing it one panel at a time. THE CAR WAS THOROUGHLY WASHED BEFOREHAND, and there was beading still going on from a previous wax job. The windows streaked pretty bad, and it was difficult cleaning them off. I used alcohol and secondly a vinegar cleaner. It took a lot to get it off to the point where they were not streaked. Streaked glass just drives me crazy, be it on a car or my house windows. The second car was also washed beforehand and still had water bead up from the previous wax job. This time, I used a leaf blower to remove about 80% of the water and applied this to a damp cloth and rubbed it in and buffed it off. That way, I was able to keep it off my glass. This was extra work but I wanted to get a more precise coat and better adhesion since I am preparing for winter, when washing will not be as thorough or as often. This worked better than the first car. Next season, I will try a third type of application, kind of a combination of the first two methods. I love the look you get with this new product. I would think water hardness and application methods can make or break the finished results. Thanks for your video. Yes, I am subscribing to your channel!
You are most welcome to try it the way you claim Meguiar's says to use it. You have to note that if you do it on a brand new car, you will have to apply less, but on a used car you will need to apply more.
My experience with this product was extremely frustrating and a waste of significant time to remove the streaking. This is the second time I tried the product with disappointing results. Save your money and most of all your time. As I look closely at this video - I can see the streaking even though it was edited to avoid showing the work it requires to achieve acceptable results.
My videos are all genuine and my honest opinion. Is yours a 1 stage or 2 stage paint ? What are the microns ? Did you claybar and or iron decontaminate the vehicle? If you get streaks it could be contaminants embedded into the paint.
I can say I’ve never had that issue, and I’ve used it three different ways. I’ve sprayed it on a wet vehicle and rinsed it off, I’ve sprayed it on a wet vehicle and take a cloth and wiped it and then sprayed it off and dried, and I’ve also sprayed it on a damp cloth and wiped it on and buffed it off. As with any wax or sealer less is better. I find that a lot of people who don’t like this type of product usually apply too much. Not sure if that was your case but just a thought.
Lol for the foundation layer you will need to use more than just a few squirts , on the stacking layer you can use less. I did mention in text that I sprayed a little extra.
It really depends on the paint stage of the car whether it is a 2 stage or 1 stage paint and whether it is soft or hard paint or 1k or 2k clear. If the car is older, then more is needed, and if it is newer then less is needed. I find the durability whilst using less product is not very long. I find there is no right or wrong way of using this product as you will need to judge as you go. If you do use less, then buffing is more of an ease but durability lessens.
That's what she said too ... . Correct, first prime the towel and then a few squirts are enough. This is by far the best detailer. Zero streaking, even on glass. Grtz
This product works so well that you really only need a few squirts for it to do its job. When you spray your car with it for the first time, you use a little more than if you spray it again afterwards. Often afterwards I make a syringe of a few syringes to see the effect already.
Sigh, why is it nobody can follow the simple directions for using this properly? They clearly state you wash the car, then spray the wax on sparingly while the car is still wet. You then rinse it off and then dry it. Period. That’s it! No rubbing, no buffing, otherwise you’ll get streaks that will require a lot of elbow grease to remove it.
The spraying on the wet car and wiping it off is the foundation layer, the one you are referring to is the stacking layer which I did in the 2nd part of this video .
I did not answer that at the time because it would not have been fair to say without seeing it for myself. About 3 months if the car is used every day and parked on the street everyday . About 6 months with normal usage but stored in the garage.
