If you want to apply to Canada's number 1 university, University of Toronto, but don't know where to start? You are at the right place because no matter whether you are an Ontario student, Canadian Student, or International Student, in this video, I talk about the exact application process for applying to University of Toronto from checking the admission requirements to completing the supplementary applications. NOTE: Around 6:55, you indicate that international applicants should use the International Application. If you read carefully, it says to ONLY use the International Application if you are ONLY applying to U of T in Ontario. International applicants who wish to apply to more than one university in Ontario would normally use the 105 application. It will save you some money, and you don't have to submit as many applications. Thank you.

Hello, May I know does the interest of major inputted in the OUAC system matter? Can I choose to study other majors different from the one I chose in the system if I got accepted to the degree? Or if it does matter, does it cost extra charge to change the major interest in OUAC (since i checked on the web they said replacing one program with another for the same uni doesn't cost extra fee, but they didn't specify whether it cost extra fees for changing major interest) Thank you very much!

Hi Zohair, regarding the Activities/Employment section, I'm still a bit confused. You explained that in that part of the OUAC we need to list all our extracurricular activities since the beginning of high school but it specifies "This section is required if you have finished high school". Although it states that, is there where we list all our extracurriculars?

This section is just for people who've graduated. If you are a gap year student, you must complete the section. But if you are still in high school, you may fill it out or leave it. It's completely up to you.

Hello~ I am quite confused about the information on the submission of the Transcript. I am applying as an international student. U of T mentioned that we have to upload our transcripts and these scans would be considered unofficial. So, do I just have to upload my transcript to their portal? Or do I have to ask my school to send my transcript electronically? (If so, is there a platform or sth for my school to submit my transcripts? ) Thank you very much!

The submission of the transcript depends on your education system. In my case, I did the IB DP and paid IBO to send my transcripts to U of T electronically. You might have to approach your exam conducting institution to send the transcripts or you might have to follow a different procedure altogether. I suggest you email UofT's admissions office, tell them about your education system and ask them for the right procedure. Thanks.

It is really informative and helpful I have a question; I have applied to U of T and now I am currently doing the lester b pearson scholarship application. Is there any criteria for the amount of money for the question "How much will your parents, guardians or other family contribute each year while you are at university (in Canadian dollars)?" and "How much do you expect to have saved personally to fund your university studies (in Canadian dollars)?". Don't list all the activities. Just put activities that you passionately and dedicatedly engaged. Start with the most recent one and end with the oldest one.

Thanks for your question. Yes, you'll get in !! I was an IB student and IB students also get their final exam results in July. If you are admitted, you will get your conditional offer which will only become a non-conditional offer when you submit your final exam results in July. No, it won't be considered a delay.

You should apply this year (by November 2021) because then you will be required to attend U of T in August 2022 (by that time you'll have your license).

For IELTS Test, I requested British Council to send my electronic TRF to U of T and they did that for 4-5 USD per institution. Regarding the transcript submission, it depends on your education board. I had to request IBO to send my electronic transcripts to U of T, using their paid service. Moreover, once you apply to U of T you will be asked to report all of your Grade 11th and 12th Semester Grades on their portal.

Your IB score will definitely help your profile, but you need to graduate High School because if you don't, it the university might not admit you because of your poor academic performance.

Hi, Aruzhan. I guess you're from Colombia. If so, let me explain to you as I had the same question. U of T for those cases gives individual consideration based on your academic achievement. Otherwise, you must complete a full year of post-secondary studies at a recognized university; if you check the requirements for international students from Colombia it specifies that. I reached out to U of T's recruitment team and they will ask you for additional information such as recommendation letters, copies/certificates of any award received for academic achievement, a statement from your school attesting to your rank in class, a school profile, as well as SAT/ACT results. That evidence should be submitted through the Join U of T Portal after submitting the initial application (OUAC 105). They can consider you as an exception if you're among the top students of your school.

No, it isn't. SAT is OPTIONAL. Submitting a very good score will help your application, but not submitting it won't harm your application.

No, it's not like - you apply for the scholarship and get admission to U of T. The scholarship application process is independent of the admission process to U of T. And the application for admission needs to be completed by an applicant before being able to apply for the scholarships.

It usually takes 13-14 days for your IELTS scores to come out. did you mean you enrolled in a university after high school? If yes, you won't be eligible to apply as U of T says on their scholarship page "students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered."

Walaykum Assalam, I do not have much knowledge about post-graduate programs and their requirements, but what I do know is that your part-time work at British Council will count as work experience and when you are going in any foreign country for study, you are supposed to take IELTS academics.

OUAC 101 is for current Ontario Students, so you shouldn't use that. OUAC 105 is when you're applying to U of T as well as other Ontario Schools. OUAC International Application is for international students who are applying to ONLY U of T in Ontario. So if you are applying to other Ontario schools along with U of T, use OUAC 105. Otherwise, go ahead with OUAC international application.

For Canada, I only applied to U of T because of the full scholarship, but otherwise I applied to all the other universities registered on Common App, where fee waiver is offered for the application fee. 👍

Yes, my school didn't know about this either. This the link to the school nomination form where your school can get verified: www3.adm.utoronto.ca/Pearson/schoolApplication.php?ref=644a95b1 This link will get activated in the second week of September. Once activated your school needs to fill it out to be able to receive nomination form from U of T.

Hi I have a question I am right now in grade 12 and so when these application process and everything like this will be going on I'll be in 12th and my exams will be most probably in May or June 2023 And I will obviously apply for fall 2023 So what to do about my 12th grade result Do I have to wait to complete my form😑 ?? U of T recognizes a lot of education systems. I guess, they will accept Kerala Board as well. Just check their website for confirmation as they have listed all the acceptable systems or you can also shoot them an email for personalized reply.

No, A Level students do not need to submit their IELTS For U of T English Language Requirements as long as they have a minimum final or predicted grade of “C” in English Language Subject. On a side note, you'll definitely need English Test for Study Permit to Canada.

Yes, you need to pay 180 CAD when you submit your OUAC Application. Apart from this, if you are a not a native speaker, you need to submit English language proficiency test scores to U of T (which also requires money).

No English Test is required for the Lester B. Pearson scholarship, You just need to apply to U of T, get nominated by your school and answer the questions in the scholarship application form.

Yes, they help you stand out when you are doing an internship in a field you are genuinely passionate about and you are able to bring the internship into your profile. One internship alone won't make your application stand out, as far as I know.

I have a question regarding the documents to upload, I have also completed the IB diploma and I have a question, because I know that the final results are sent directly by the IBO to U of T, but I am concerned about the section on Join U of T where we have to send the final results, it specifically appears as "upload document". So if the IBO directly sends my results, there would be no problem that I personally have not uploaded that doc on the page???
