Hello Friends,
Today, I will be talking about why I am not attending University of Toronto and why I rejected it's U of T International Scholar Award which was worth 225,000 Canadian Dollars. I go over my story and my personal experience of going through the application process and share my personal opinions about U of T's application process and its costs for students in different socioeconomic conditions. I also talk about the Lester B. Pearson scholarship and my views on its selection process. And throughout the video, you'll see the theme of affordability of tuition, living expense and other costs coming up again and again. So bear with me 😅
Firstly, I give a disclaimer that I am not talking about the studies at U of T and why you should or shouldn't attend U of T. Secondly, I talk about my my school's background, family's financial background and how it made me unable to afford U of T even after the humongous tuition fee waiver in the form the U of T International Scholar Award. Then I talk about the following this: OUAC Application fee waiver, breakdown of my expenses after U of T's scholarship, Lester B Pearson Scholarship acceptance rate, the competition for the Lester B. Pearson scholarship and my view to increase the access of the Lester B. Pearson scholarship for deserving international students.
