What’s the right way to apply my skincare? What order do I apply my skincare products in? When do I apply my essence, serum, eye cream, etc.? These are questions I get ALL. THE. TIME! So get out of your pen & notepad because today I'm finally making a video sharing the correct order to apply all of your skincare products and some basic knowledge about what most of these products actually do & why they may be beneficial!

Such a great video! I always find it difficult when I add in a new product that's for acne. I just started using Paula's Choice anti-redness exfoliating solution and was having a hard time figuring out when to use it in my routine, but found to use it after toner and essence since it's also a liquid. I have rosacea and I don’t exfoliate should I be exfoliating anyways?

If you have rosacea I think it will depend on what your skin can tolerate & what feels okay for you. Exfoliating is super beneficial, if you want to try it I'd definitely recommend a really gentle enzymatic powder exfoliant that doesn't have any granules in it, and to only use it when your skin is calm/not flared up. My recommendation would be something like the Gentle or Calming versions of the Tatcha Rice Powder.

Very helpful video 👍🏻😊💖. Funny I am one of those people that does eye cream before my serums, moisturizers, etc 😉. I feel like it allows the eye cream to fully penetrate so o can get the most benefit. That is just my rationale but I could be totally wrong haha. I actually don’t use an eye cream but rather the eye serum from Tatcha. I might have to get eye cream for at night though so I have something a bit more hydrating 💜

Question: I’m trying to understand when and how to use retinol, vitamin c, niacinamide and AHA/BHA’s. I currently do vitamin c in the morning and retinol with niacinamide at night. But if my toner has aha or if I want to do a chemical peel, when do I use them? Can I use them? Also, what do you put in your eyes? I have serums and eye creams but I apply them under and over my eyes but you’ve suggested not too. Should that skin only be cleansed and that’s it? Lastly, I have the Sunday Riley Luna oil and A+ serum, can I use them together? Can I also use my glow recipe avocado retinol sleeping mask? I just don’t want these products to go to waste. I would love and so appreciate your advise and/or suggestions! Thank you

Personally I don’t apply SPF directly on my lids, I tend to follow the same rule as eye cream with applying it to the orbital bone & brow bone. The reason you do this is because our eye area is constantly moving, and as the skin warms up the product ends up sliding and transferring. When you apply anything right to the lash line it ends up actually transferring into your eyes, and my eyes are super sensitive. I bring SPF as close as possible and then I actually use an eye cream with SPF that I linked in the description, and I always try to wear sunglasses when I’m outside to protect my eyes & the surrounding area!

Question!: after cleansing I use my Ole Henriksen toner, the green one. It has AHA’s and salicylic acid, how long should I wait until I put my vitamin c serum? Or should I not use the toner before the serum?:/

Personally I would use them separately, vitamin c serum during the day and toner only at night!

My face has been looking pale. I have never exfoliated with a scrub after cleansing. I do have to use medicated topical creams. One in the morning & a different one at night. My face has been looking pale. Could that be cuz I have not exfoliated?

Brisa Lopez I would use the differin with a plain face wash for a week or two and once your skin adjusts you could try adding the bha exfoliator 3x a week (I used to use differin too, good luck!)

Hi dear, May I ask you for example after double cleansing I am exfoliating with Glycolic acid then I can use alcohal free toner / or regular toner right ? Then it’s mask and as u mentioned it could be clay mud, pealoff or sheet mask any ? My question is can we wash mask from our face with water as we had applied Glycolic acid for exfoliating? safia ali not a professional by any means. Hardly ever wear makeup but I would think you would want to use the glycolic acid after the mask just in case you get irritated from the acid.

Harley Quinn I doubt as exfoliation removes the dead skin cell from the skin, leaving the skin baby soft n cleansed and ready for the serums n treatments to come next so they be more absorbent, that I am sure but my question is if we use a wash off mask after a chemical peel will that be okay ? I love rosehip oil! It’s fantastic for acne scarring, and yes! Depending on your skin you might find it to be too heavy under makeup but rosehip oils are one oil I find I can get away with wearing during the day

If you’re using a toner or essence it’s best to apply your following steps while the skin is still damp. Otherwise it’s kind of preference, I usually wait about 30 seconds roughly for the product to feel like it has absorbed.

Kriss Tin I think they changed the formula, the last 3 times I had used it, it faded sooo quickly on my hair and my friends who have been long-time users of Herbatint too said they were noticing the same thing. I don’t like to colour my hair more than about twice a year so I needed something more permanent.
