How to assign a PS4 Controller to Valorant! in this step by step guide you will be able to play the game with a PS4 controller as im able too! its easy once you know! if you have an issues just let me know! DS4 WINDOWS FIXES! here are some options for you if you are having some trouble getting the controller to function, depending on your settings for your computers, one of these options might work but this will purely depend on your set ups:
Fix 1 Restarting controller on windows 10:
DO NOT have DS4 windows open
Start Menu
Windows Control Panel
Devices and Control Printers
Connect the controller with USB
Right Click, Properties and click Hardware Tab
Double Click "HID-Compliant Game Controller
Change Settings
Driver
Uninstall Device
Open DS4 windows
Now unplug and replug controller
This will reconnect all buttons that have been assigned to the controller in the profile youve created, if this doesnt work go to Fix 2.
Fix 2 Re Calibrating the controller through Windows 10
(Currently writing and Editing as this ones lengthy)
Fix 3 Make the controller Exclusive Use only
In DS4 Windows: Under the settings tab make sure the the box "Hide DS4 controller" is ticked and as extra precaution under the "other" tab tick the box Dinput only.

Steam Calibration Trick

Fix 5
Guardian Driver Installation and Update

Bro, you just have to conect your controller with the usb cable at the ps4

@@wichopirata8719 that didnt quite work, i went to a friend and connected them to his ps4. Then we used his usb cable to connect the ds4's to mine and it qas fine. Maybe my cables were not working

Ok I want to make it clear on this video after many people attempting to contact me. This video DOES work for the majority including myself and alot of you can use this without any issues. However there seems to be a select few who seem to run into the problem with the camera right stick especially after the latest windows 10 update (feedback ive received from others, indicates updates also disabled the button). I have currently not found the fix for it yet as ive been absent after moving house etc however in that time Ive come to learn its to do with input delay when first setting up the controller and that it may require you to change settings on your PCs regarding your mouse in order for it to recognize the inputs so its more technically difficult to fix than it first appears. When I am able I will make the fix video for those who are stuck.

It connects with PC with BT but still does not work with the game. Can't get it to connect with PC using USB. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. I went through your fixes. I have windows 10.

On the right analog stick when assigning, make sure you select the outer most arrows and not the inner arrows, good luck

you're using your controller via usb? spotify probably changes the audio device from your default one to the ps4 controller headphone jack. just change it back

Thank you so much! The tutorial is really cool, but I’ve got a problem. I’ve mapped my right stick to the mouse movements (I’ve chosen the outer arrows) and everything works perfectly in Valorant menu, but when I enter a match, right stick doesn’t work. I would really appreciate your help!

I have a few solutions which I will add to the description over the next few days as it may require you adding additional drivers so your comp recognizes the controller exclusively. I will get back to you ASAP seen as a few of you seem to be having this issue.

I have the same problem, I use DS4windows for other games and it always worked but for Valorant the right stick is trolling us tsss... T_T

This is happening because the game is trying to track both the mouse and controller at the same time and isnt recognizing the controller exclusively. So its not calibrating the gyro/trackball from the right analog which has been assigned mouse controls. So its a case of have to re calibrate, there are some tricky fixes for this. One is: under the "other tab tick the "use DInput only" box this may not always work as everytime you tab in and out of the game it can reset. Another is to calibrate the control through windows 10 but im working on the write up for this in the description for you guys so you can follow it easy. Another is to calibrate it using a trick with steam as steam has its own calibration system. But like I said there are options and others also involving adding drivers so we can ensure everything is up to date but im working on it so at least no one will run into the issue again
